No. You don't trade your first round pick like that.

If you want to move next years 3rd if your assuming you will get compensation picks for guys like Felix, Jenkins, and Victor butler? Fine. But you don't just trade your 1st rounder.

I would much rather our first this year for a high second rounder and a first next year

The draft this year is deep and I would 2 first rd picks next year (esp if we need a QB)

Terrible trade, IMO.

I doubt if Brian Schwenke falls to #80.

Duke Williams should be available in the 5th or 6th round.

Not a fan of this draft

However, the value for this year's 34th pick far exceeds next year's 1st rounder if you assume we will picking about 20th our so.

Except for top 5-10 ten picks, the general concensus (not alwasy, but usually) is that you add 1 full round per year to balance value.

For example out 47th pick this year would be worth mid 1st rounder in 2014

I'm not saying to take that trade, but it VERY much fair value.
