Trading back into the first for Lynch?

More and more I am seeing drafts having Lynch fall to the end of the first round, in fact every mock draft on NFL.com has him going 31st to the Broncos. If he starts to fall to the late 20s do we start thinking about combining our second and fourth, or maybe even our second and third (hoping to get a third back in return) for him? We need a new QB, and the closer we get to the draft the less and less I am thinking it will be Goff (and a near 0% chance of it being Wentz). If we start to see Lynch fall, do we trade up and grab him?

The key is him making it past the Rams. If he clears them, he'll drop low enough that it won't cost us an arm and a leg to move up to get him. Despite the desperate calls for Defense, I would LOVE to come out of the 1st Rd with Zeke & Lynch.

Same here, maybe trade down to 7 picking up a 3rd to grab Zeke (before the Eagles can take him at 8), and then using that 3rd to trade up to 28-30 (there is a 0% chance of him making it past the Broncos) to get Lynch. We get a pro ready backup for Romo, and the best RB in the draft. I would take that in a heartbeat!

I think Lynch is the most likely target at QB and our mostly like 1st round pick, but I think its in a trade down rather than a trade up.

I think Lynch is a possibility but C.Hackenberg is something to consider.
Remember Hackenberg had a heck of a freshman season at Penn State
then his coach left for Houston. Does that mean the kid is weak minded?
I don't know but as they say his done it already so its in there.

I like how Lynch groomed himself in high school,I've read.
Lynch with a one
Hackenberg with a three.
I have no idea

Ya I trade down works because Bosa isn't all that. But is there a pardner to dance with.

I really don't understand why everyone keeps saying they don't think we like Goff. It's not like we've got press releases proclaiming our love for Wentz and Lynch. They liked him enough to attend his pro day, give him a private workout and bring him in for a visit to Dallas. What part of that says "we don't like him"???

I think people want the best possible physical tools in a developmental QB. Start with the best raw materials and just sculpt a player from that. The reality is, that's not how it works. Give me the guy with the fewest possible question marks based off of the tests he's endured to-date. That's Goff this year. He's answered so many questions in the positive that Lynch is just getting around to having to tackle. Any one of which could derail a prospect permanently. For me, the fewer unanswered questions, the better.

It's not that I don't think we like him, we might, I just don't see him being our pick at 4 and no draft analyst seems to either. Ramsey, Bosa, and Zeke seem to be the 3 most likely picks at 4 assuming we pick there at all (and if we trade down Goff will be off the board before we draft)

I agree, but so many people have been flat out saying they don't think we like Goff. I just don't understand the logic. Clearly we like him enough to bring him in which is a huge tell if you ask me. I think it's either wishful thinking because they don't want him, or something they tell themselves so they don't get their hopes up.

I guess I misunderstood what you meant. A lot of others have been saying it flat out though.

A lot of the analysts are going off what Jerry said. They were mocking QBs to us before those comments. Now we see they've brought in the top 3 QBs, so they are considering it a lot more than Jerry was letting on.

Let's put it this way... I think we like him less than we liked Manziel.

But what is there to base that off of? He's a highly rated QB who we've spent a good amount of time and energy on. Nobody knows how much they do or don't value him at this point.

I like Lynch in a scenario where we have already moved back and re-enter the first using 2 second rounders
