I keep reading all of the rumors about who we are courting in trade proposals. I do not believe most, but I have little doubt we are burning up the phones doing our due diligence.

Miami? Natural assumption and one that I have expected for several years. There are a few players like Crayton that Miami could use, but everyone else mentioned as being dangled have little value beyond the late rounds (Carpenter, Procter - who that staff liked and even Watkins).

Denver? They might want more 3-4 pieces (like Spears) and definitely need a 3-4 ILB, but I do not think there is much incentive for them to move unless we offer a very nice deal. They already have two seconds.

Seattle? I read this from a Seattle paper last night that they are talking to the Cowboys about Barber. I am very skeptical about this one unless they have a Julius/Barber reunion planned.

Tennessee? This was Mosley I believe in response to the SF rumors. I don't think they are interested in any of our players unless they are tired of LenDale White and think Barber would be a better complement to Chris Johnson.

San Francisco? I don't believe we would give up that much to them for just Thomas and I also have a hard time believing the 49ers are wanting to get out of their spot.

Of course there is the idea we would shop our choice if Clausen falls to teams like Buffalo or Cleveland. And of course, The Tebow.

Any others that are missing?

I'm hearing Cincy a lot, mainly because of the Bennett near trade last year I think.

I am afraid that if we want Bryant badly, we will need to deal with Denver.

Maybe Cleveland if we trade down?

They could use a wideout and maybe a TE?, and they run a 34.

New England

A likely trade partner. I would not be surprised to see New England trade for Barber and/or Spears.

I think Crayton stays put unless Miami offers something in order to get #12, but not if it includes #27.

If we trade with Cleveland I think it would be down for a QB they want (McCoy I presume). They want speed WRs as Massaquoi, Stuckey and Robiskie are all possession types. We definitely cannot offer any speed. As for TE, they acquired Ben Watson, I doubt they want Bennett.

They do need 3-4 linemen, but I am sure the Jets could get Mangini more excited if they offer Ellis up as rumored.

I also think everyone should cool off about us trading up in the first round of the draft. If we do, it's only a few spots, and it's likely for Iupati.

I could see us trading up in the 2nd round, though.

If a team wants Bennett than I think it would be wise to wait and trade him during next season.

We could probably get a 1st rounder for him considering you have to give up a lot more to get value during the Reg season.

Personally I wouldn't trade him but I dont have a bipolar Tight End disorder like the Cowboys do.

Then we let him go. He isn't worth the price right now. We have more pressing needs.

Cincy ... they need a TE and FS as their highest priorities. They could take Bennett to solve the TE issue and take Mays or Allen at #27. I think Mays has a lot more value to Zimmer considering the success he had with Roy. Also, Zimmer has wanted to run a 3-4/4-3 hyrid in Cicny, and Spears would offer him a lot of flexibility there. Zimmer was sitting in the draft room when we drafted him and coached him his rookie year. Spears could play strongside end, maybe slide inside to a 3 tech in a 4 man line or play 5 tech in a 3-4. Antwan Odom is still recovering from an achellies tear.
