ESPN's Mel Kiper believes LSU G Trai Turner is the best "under the radar" prospect in the trenches.
"Only 20 career starts... but you think about the last four games, he played every offensive snap for the bayou bengals," Kiper said. "Good player with a chance to be even better down the road." Turner was somewhat of a surprise entrant, but it is a strong possibility that he hears his name called in the third-round. The third day talent at guard is very lean. Mar 28 - 9:59 AM

I miss the days when it was a possibilitiy to steal him in the 5th. If he stayed and started another 13 games for LSU he'd probably have been a 2nd rounder in 2014

I like him a lot

I do too. I was hoping to maybe get him in the 4th... but that is looking less and less likely as his stock rises.

Very nice prospect who I see learning year one and fighting for a starting spot by year two.

NFLDS had him as a 7th rounder a few weeks ago and then moved him up to the 5th round. I wouldn't be surprised to see in go in the 4th maybe 3rd; although, this draft is deep at OG in the mid rounds.

His only issue is that he's coming out a year early as a redshirt Sophomore.

like this guy as a developmental project. THIS is the kind you go for not someone like Arkin

Yes, when I review OLinemen for the draft, I often think "this guy is light years ahead of Arkin as a prospect". This year I get down to a guy ranking as #274 in the draft before I see an OG that I don't think is better than Arkin was as a prospect.

The Cowboys definitely screwed up the Arkin pick. They were in that last year with Houck as the OL coach but Garrett wanted to move to the Zone Blocking Scheme. I guess that they thought they had to get an athletic guy that could really move and forgot that they still have to have NFL strength.

A lot of fans/media still thought they were going to draft small, fast OLinemen when Callahan come on board but the Interior OL that he has assembled are all 320+.
