Train-Rex Grossman benched, Griese to start week 4

It is possible that Griese comes in and stinks it up. That would leave Orton as the QB. I just can't see fragile Rex having much confidence if he had to come back into a game.

We should bring Rex to be our back up...can you imagine what kinda QB tandom we would have, man oh man:pray:

What are the odds of someone starting a post this off season about bringing Rex in to be the back up in Dallas? I can see it now. He is still young, he has won games, he led his team to a Superbowl. Could make for some entertaining threads. I make my stand now. NO!

Rex wouldn't be bad if he just wasn't so inconsistent.... 7 games where he had an above 100 QB rating.... but he also had a game with a 0 rating and a few below 50..... He's one of the most confusing players I've ever watched. I agree with you though.... no, which is a shame because I really liked Rex coming out of collage.

Lovie should have done this last Year.

He's the worst decision maker to ever start 10 games in the NFL.... That's not hyperbole

Poor guy...

Imagine having your career finished because of Anthony Henry.

He is a terrible QB.

Terrible QB? Probably.

But, he's a pretty good CB.

Even Rex knew (right after the game)that he was not starting next week. He almost broke down and cried at post game PC.

Roughly the same odds as someone getting royally roasted for recommending something so truly stupid...

I think Lovie did the right thing all around. Once you pull Rex, your basically saying he's not the guy. That means your committing to getting a QB from the draft, FA, whatever.

The pressure on Grossman will be huge as it is. It was better for him to make this statement now as opposed to after the game. The right thing to do was to look at the tape and evaluate. I think Smith handled it correctly.

Agreed ABQ. Fantastic move on Lovie's end.

What a great situation for Brian. Show up, DON"T throw an INT, beat a QB rating of 12 and you're a hero. Hell, I'd do it.
