It is possible that Griese comes in and stinks it up. That would leave Orton as the QB. I just can't see fragile Rex having much confidence if he had to come back into a game.

The pressure on Grossman will be huge as it is. It was better for him to make this statement now as opposed to after the game. The right thing to do was to look at the tape and evaluate. I think Smith handled it correctly.
