Training Camp Battle: Who Wins Out?...

Last year the Cowboys gave Spears some snaps in practice at DT. I'd be interested in how he played that position. If Ratliff or any other DE can beat Spears out, but Spears shows promise as a DT, then I'd sure keep Spears around. Besides we need ensure we've got quality backups and versatility in our DL just in case.

Tank vs Rat for the starting NT will be a battle.

Nah, I think the real desire is to have both starting. I agree with the earlier poster, Tank is going to be our starting NT, and Ratliff is going to crush Spears in the DE competition. Not that it really matters that much, all three are going to see plenty of playing time.

Can't have too many defensive linemen!

Wade Phillips gushes about Ratliff and the coach is probably the main reason JJ signed him to an extension during the season. Nobody expected it, and the only indicator is that every PC, Wade was literally on his jock. Ratliff isn't battling for any spot...

If he moves, he'll be starting at DE...

Now that we have other KR options, he's expendable. I was a big fan of him, but he really lost me in that Commanders game with the two dropped TD passes.
