Does anybody if the training camp practice on 7/24 is open to the public? I can't find a conclusive answer on the Cowboys website.

Both. This will be my 6th time to the 'Boys. I've also been to the Chargers camp twice and the Cardinals once.

I'm going again, as well. But haven't locked down dates yet.

I enjoy it much more than games in person. Games are better on TV for the most part IMO.

Live on the East coast and wanted to vacation in Oxnard, so I could see training camp. Is that good place for vac, are the beaches nice?

The beaches in Oxnard are not as good as they are a little south in LA but it's not a very far of a drive. There is tons to do in LA. If your married then shopping in Santa Monica would be a good thing for her to do while your paying attention to football.

Los Angeles is a disgusting place full of false people and false celebrity.

Stay in Santa Monica and Oxnard. It's more comfortable, quiet, less traffic, safer.

There are some very unique shops in downtown Ventura just minutes north of Oxnard and you can even visit the hometown of Steve Austin (The 6 Million Dollar Man).

A schedule of times should be announced before too long, maybe a few days before TC opens. I believe all practices are open, and won't be closed to the public until they return back to Valley ranch, where they can control it better.
Also look for a few open practices at AT&T Stadium after they break camp.

Eat at some restaurants and do make a trip to the beautiful coast line in that area...and for an afternoon activity, there are tourist related activities that attract a lot of attention in Los Angeles. All within a drive. Hey, Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm are there for the taking in Orange County, below Los Angeles. Oxnard will generally treat you as a tourist, very nicely.

The airport is closely located to hotels in that practice area as well. Good accessability.

Don't get caught in transparent situations in the role of a tourist around Los Angeles, as Casmith07 stated. Auto theft is a problem there as well.
