If you're a defensive lineman, you hear this a lot from Marinelli: "Get off the ball. Get off. Get off. Get off. Get off the f---in ball."
Rod Marinelli yelling at Henry Melton that he wants to see speed. Rod pleased w/ the rep. "Not quite there yet, but I'm starting to see it."

David Moore‏@DavidMooreDMN 30m
LB Rolando McClain on flight right now back to Southern California. Plan is for him to be available for Saturday afternoon practice.

Rainer Sabin‏@RainerSabinDMN 21m
Rod Marinelli to Henry Melton during a drill: "Not quite there but I am starting to see it ."
Rod Marinelli keeps screaming, "Speed, more speed!"
Cowboys DE Anthony Spencer is working on the cords.

So far Romo has been in hip pocket of Scott Linehan with Brandon Weeden working with first team

RB coach Gary Brown just called FB JC Copeland "big nifty"
Golfers on adjacent course yelling Go Raiders as Cowboys practice
Listening to Jerome Henderson coach and he really is a teacher first. Breaks it down well.

Tim MacMahon‏@espn_macmahon 26m
I'm calling Lance Dunbar "Bush Light." Think Linehan will use him a lot like he did Reggie Bush last year. pic.twitter.com/TX2GAL9BZC

David Helman‏@HelmanDC 30m
Just FWIW, Scandrick has been leading the DBs in everything during Carr's absence. Not surprising, given he's in his 7th camp.

Cowboys are revisiting a lot of yesterday's drills, but adding a new element. #Teaching.
The D-line working on splitting double teams. The ball carrier is an old gray-haired coach. Hope they don't hit him.
The team is now putting together all the various elements of kick return that they're working on when practice first started.

Man if Carter can get the defense down he is going to be a beast. You compare the way he manhandled that sled compared to everybody else. Man amongst boys

Ryan Williams foot work wow. Faster then Dunbar even and he was going sideways Dunbar straight ahead

Bruce Carter stuff..

David Helman‏@HelmanDC 1h
Carter says he's excited to play behind Melton, aiming for at least 120 tackles.
Carter also said the time between arrival and fully padded practice has made a big difference. In his opinion.

KRGV Sports‏@KRGVSports 6h
Garrett on LB Bruce Carter: "When he plays with confidence, he plays fast, he makes a lot plays."

Yeah once Carter knows his job he'll be making plays all the time. Being lost takes away alot from his reaction time. Teams having to deal with Meltons speed will help alot. Hatcher was quick off the snap and had power but after that he was never fast. Melton will free up Carter alot.

If Ryan Williams turns out as good as his footwork, we might have something there.

Williams injury was to the patella. Being able to push off like that with quickness is a good sign for him having his college athleticism. Needs to see the full range of motion though. Cardinals wouldn't play him and they were decent last year. They won 10 games last year in the toughest division in football so they were doing something right.

Preseason cannot get here quick enough.
