Good morning Zoners,

After 3 days of training camp and finally putting on the pads yesterday I wanted to report what I saw was impressive over all other Cowboy camps in the past:starspin

--Garrett is in charge, a leader and people are listening to him (ie. E F Hutton)

--Ryan is teaching the entire camp; no joking with players; intense like his dad; gotta love it so far

--We have best fans in the world; great support in S. A.; that is why Mr. Jones comes back; it is not our hot dry weather

--57 Butler, Victor LB 6-2 246 2 Oregon State is here to impress Ryan; he is fluid, fast, hitting the hole; blitzing; and made a great int yesterday. I predict big things from him this year

--59 Williams, Brandon LB 6-3 246 R Texas Tech the lights are coming on Zoners, he will have a big role; fast and hits hard; he is showing what Wade predicted he would finally

--67 Costa, Phil G 6-3 316 R Maryland is a scrapper; not the biggest; but is all heart; he put it all on the field; ask Rat what he thinks lol

--82 Witten, Jason TE 6-6 263 8 Tennessee is awesome; he spent 20 min after a hard practice all by himself hitting dummie bags hard working on picking up the blitz....unreal that is HOF waiting material

--#34 running back; not on my roster; but, he hustles; hits the hole hard; and my early pet cat (Cowboy Joe)

--#86 Wr is impressive, tall, fast and just stands out

--DO ANY OF YOU KNOW #34 AND #86 names? thanks

ok, my CRAZYCOWBOY wild early prediction:

14 Harris, Dwayne WR 5-10 203 R East Carolina will start at the slot WR as a rookie; he is STONG; quick; and I love his hair commercial possibilities; great hands

Finally, the best for last ......MOST impressive player in camp

88 Bryant, Dez WR 6-2 217 R Oklahoma State is sent from God with talents

Thanx CrazyCowboy
I don't think it would surprise anyone that DEZ is the standing out. I'm expecting big things from that kid. Its good to hear Butler and Williams are doing well. We will need them when we go to those 5 LBs packages.

Thanks Crazy. I eat this stuff up.

Looks like:

#34: Phillip Tanner, rook RB, Mid Tenn.
#86: Ray Radway, rook WR, Abilene Christian

I mentioned yesterday that just looking at the videos posted in the sticky and reading various tweets, blogs, etc. that Leong and Radway look interesting.

I don't know if either will make the 53, but I think both could be strong candidates for the PS.

Now that's what we need more guys with commercial possibilities.. lol

Thx CC for the report...

In Div II, Radway was a dominant and very flashy receiver. He is worth following through camp. I like him a lot, ask Silverbear about him.

Crazy Cowboy, thanks for your observations. It was truely an enjoyable read.:star:

I will keep an eye on #86 Radway alot closer today, but he just keeps making plays.....he is tall.....lanky....but, seems fast and quick.

What is his 40 time?

I believe Johnson #15 is on his last dallas cowboys training camp.

He comes off a Nationally and highly ranked team, and was part of a very efficient QB/WR pair for them. That is the same conference that my (former A&I Javelinas) A&M-Kingsville is in. Both teams made it into the playoffs this past season. Kingsville lost at round two of four. Both the Kingsville and AC had a very good receiver, but Radway, far and above, was the strongest of the two. He excelled against any and all secondaries he faced. He also got a lot of seperation in routes. ACU has been a Nationally ranked smaller school for the past five years.

As to his speed:

Raymond Radway WR Abilene Christian
DraftNasty.com Description
The 6'1 Radway used his long legs to become a national outdoor champion in the 400 meters at the Division II level. In fact, the four-time All American in track...(and did I tell you he can catch the ball also?) :)

Oh, and it was just on those same cinder tracks that Daryll Green got his collegiate life started upon as well.

Hopefully these two can become the 2011 version of Hurd and Austin. Both FA's and came in the same year.

Radway's 40 time was 4.42...but he was more of an endurance sprinter in college. That would translate into very good deeper routes, due to his fast longer route speed.
