Training camp today...

It's going to be like a minicamp, without pads. Apparently Wade doesn't want the players to overreact on Day 1 and get hurt. Fair enough.

ESPN/Cowboysblog; Training camp starts today
July, 24, 2010 Jul 249:33AM CTEmail Print Comments By Calvin WatkinsSAN ANTONIO -- The Cowboys open their 50th season today with the first of 21 training camp practices at the Alamodome.

All 80 players are here, Sean Lee, the lineside linebacker competing for the nickel spot, was the last player to sign a contract.

At the kickoff party on Friday night, Tony Romo told a crowd of over 20,000 "We'll see you in the Super Bowl in Dallas."

Now Romo wasn't guaranteeing a Super Bowl victory for the Cowboys he was just saying for everybody to get excited.

As far as the injury front goes, Akwasi Owusu-Ansah (shoulder) and Stephen Hodge (knee) will start camp on the PUP. Owusu-Ansah might return next week. Linebacker Brandon Williams (knee) will be limited somewhat but linebacker Keith Brooking (knee) nose tackle Jay Ratliff (elbows) will not be limited after offseason surgeries.

Don't expect the Cowboys to workout in pads today, they never do under the Phillips for the first day, thought it could change, but we doubt it.

Sunday is the first of seven two-a-day practices at the dome.

Looks like FWST will have a live chat, as well.

Folks should troll their chat as well

Yes. Sorry, I should've remembered to put that in my post.

No, don't sweat it. Thanks for clarifying

going to San Antonio for Sunday's two practices, first time ever to see cowboys in action, I am excited even though its not a game.

Always great to get reports from Zoners who go to training camp.
