I'm thinking of making a cross country trip out for training camp this year. For those of you with experience, is there a recommended time I should go? Start of camp? Middle? End? Does it matter? Any other specific tips or pieces of advice you guys think I should know?

I would go at the start so you see everyone and nobody's injured yet, lol.

I went out there in 2014. I believe it was the two last practices before the first preseason game vs. San Diego (which I also attended).

I think you will get basically the same experience, no matter when you go. But if you can choose, maybe try to be there on the blue vs white scrimmage day.

The one thing I can think of is to look at the practice schedule and set up your visit accordingly...if you want to see as many practice sessions as possible, schedule your visit when there isn't a day off for the players. If you want a day to do something else while you're there, plan our trip to include a player day off so that you won't miss anything while you're out doing other stuff. Above all, have fun!

I live out here and best to come around the scrimmage in the middle of the camp. Beginning is crowded

Get there early in the day so you can get in the line to pay for a spot on the inside fence.

Park beside the park in the surrounding neighborhood. You save money, and walk 5 minutes down a quiet street in 70 degrees.

Time your trip so that you're there to take in the game (Cowboys vs Rams) at the Coliseum.
