Trap game coming up against Detroit?

I don't see this as a trap game since we lost last week.

Detroit can run the ball and the Cowboys biggest weakness has been defending the run. If the Cowboys don’t show up to play on Sunday and are still licking their wounds over the loss to Philly this could turn into another Denver debacle. The Cowboys haven’t had an easy game all season and you can bet this one is going to be another tough one. The last time Dak returned from an injury he had a bad game. We can’t assume we’re going to start generating more offense and points because he’s back. It may take a few games for him to get back on track if he ever does. There’s going to be a lot of moaning and groaning on this board if the Cowboys show up flat on Sunday. Detroit will run the ball down our throats if we’re not focused and ready to play.

We have a QB who when healthy has been skiddish...now he is back as rusty as a nail, and we don't yet know if the mental part of the game is where it needs to be. Heaven help us if he throws an INT early on...

But coming off of an embarrassing showcasing against the Eagles, I believe we're going to take it to the Lions pretty good.

I always chuckle when I see this stuff. This is the NFL and I dont care who the team is, you can lose to anyone on any given day. Now when a far superior team gets beat by a weaker team(It happens EVERY SEASON) it is easy to say, oh, they took them lightly, they took them easy, theydidnt prepare like they would have if they played a good team..... that is all garbage excuses, ALL OF IT. You think pro coaches dont prepare their players each weak? You think you are the only person smart enough to say we cant take anyone easy?

Personally I’ve read a lot of threads already putting the weight on the defense. The weight is on the offense as they will need to keep up with second rated offense the lions have. The defense needs to play well, but I wouldn’t be surprised if their offense scores 20-28 points as that’s what they are good at. If Dak can’t keep up then we lose because it’s not our defense playing the 32nd ranked defense in the league. Dak stated he graded himself at an A before the Phili game but wanted to be A+. If he’s playing, he’s A+, no excuses if you can’t score on this horrible defense. Rust, no rust, or whatever it doesn’t matter if we lose, they are all excuses IMHO.

They would have to go for broke like the eagles to have a chance. Like go for it on every fourth down. If this is the case, it’s going to either be close or a blowout.

This reminds me of the Panthers game . Carolina played with a lot of emotion in a tight game then in the 3rd quarter the Art Gallery caved in on Sam Darnold and co . I expect Dallas to score into the 30’s and pull away in a double digit win .

How can it be a trap game? We played like a sack of garbage for most of the game and still had a chance if our D could've come up with a stop. They'd better look ready (AND NOT FREAKING SCARED LIKE THEY DID THE ENTIRE FIRST HALF AGAINST PHILTHY) or I'll be pi$$ed.

Agree......coming out flat will be on HC and players. I'm watching out for the sudden return to being "pass happy" and some baffling short yardage calls.......then I'll say.....here we go again with the $#$#@.

I agree cannot take the Lions lightly, but the real trap game is the Bears the following week as it's right before their bye week.

I think after Philly loss, a game I think they thought they could win. the defense is p!ssed and they are hungry. I feel sorry for Goff. with Dak back, I expect to see an up tick in offense. I think Dak will be rusty, after all since last year he has played 3/4 of a meaningful game and coming off injury. there will be some bad throws there and some misses expected as the timing with WRs won't be fully there yet. but I think we can roll on this game.
