Just like this Cowboys fan zone, the Dallas Cowboys could be distracted not paying attention to this NY Giants team that has lost 2 games by a combined 4 points and just beat Sean Payton's Saints.

Daniel Jones is more mobile and faster than Donald, Barkley is a better RB than Carolina had on Sunday, and the Giants defense is good at points allowed.

Cowboys have had self inflicted distractions. LVE is posting about fans flack towards Jaylon Smith, both Cooper and Elliott just return to practice after injuries and are only doing individual drills, and Dan Quinn is reading Jaylon Smith's good bye letters.

So just like the fans should do....Cowboys should move on to the Giants.

Trap game means lack of focus and effort by the players.

Do you see any of that from these guys? Do you see any of that from the coaching staff that allows trap games? So far every game has been a statement game. There is no way this team doesn't see how stomping the Giants privates would not send a message to the East and take another step toward the goal. A goal no one here, including me, thought might be possible this season.

Trap game? We don't need to show you no stinkin' trap game

Don't forget Parsons Instagram fighting with the media....

Absolutely when you consider the opponent, a division rival.

The Giants strategy always seems to be the same. They will bore the Cowboys to death with their 3 yard gains on running plays and 6 yard screens to the RB and TE's for their passing game. They usually manage to keep the game close. They will lull the Cowboys into a nap about halfway through the 3rd quarter.

That's a scenario and although the chances of fruition are extremely low, the Cowboys must stay focused. They are division rivals and they know each other well, the Giants in particular since their OC is very familiar.

Barkley isnt the same RB he was, and JG doesnt use him much anyway.
I am watching the saints game now, and JG offense stalled in the red zone, just like when he was here in dallas.
So I dont know if they can keep up with dallas, but giants defense seems to be pretty good.
Saints did get 2 deep passes on them, so that could be a weakness.

But giants always play dallas a close game. Could depend on turnovers and the ref calls.

Rival game.

They are coming off a huge road win. Anything can go

first true one by definition this season..lucky its nfce opponent so less chance of totals let down.

This is a trap game, I agree. By trap game all we mean is it has the potential for the better team to take the lesser team too lightly. This game fits that definition. The Giants were considered the a poor team, along with the rest of the NFC East. The Cowboys are coming off 3 consecutive wins,, including the Chargers and Panthers who are both 3-1 and considered two of the better teams in the league.

But the Giants are coming off a big win in New Orleans, coming from behind to tie the game then win it in overtime. Was that game a momentum changer for them? Barkley had his best game since being injured. Daniel Jones is minimizing his mistakes and incorporating Golliday into the offense now. Yup, this is a trap. The Cowboys should not take the Giants lightly. They have a number of good players. although they are missing Blake Martinez.

I think thi sis going to be a very close game and the team with the ball last will win on a FG or TD as the clock runs out.

If we don’t take the Giants serious we could lose and Dak could be injured again. It was week five last season against the Giants at home when our season was derailed despite the fact we beat them. Once we lost Dak we were done! It seems like every season we suffer a loss to a struggling team that comes back to haunt us costing us a playoff spot. If the Cowboys are going to become a championship team they have to go out every week and take care of business.

It could be, if the Cowboys allow themselves to be distracted. But I have faith in both players and staff that they won't allow it to happen. The Giants are playing better than when the season started, but so are the Cowboys.

For the millionth time....this is only a trap game to the fans

To the players they know exactly what it is....a division rival that knocked their qb out on the exact same field and same day last year.

Don't worry about them...they will be ready

"Trap Game" is a term created for fans who overlook the Giants. The Cowboys prepare every week for their opponent. Some weeks games will be a butt whooping, some they will lose, some will be close. But the final outcome is not a reflection of a "trap game". Any team can be beaten. Any Sunday. Has nothing to do with it being a "trap".

This game worries me.

It's a division rival coming off a big win looking to keep the momentum going.

This is another one of those "Is this the same old Cowboys or are they different now?" type of games.
