Trap Game?

players are not happy after Jaylon was flushed by Jerry.

Where did you hear players aren’t “ happy “ . You can’t complain too much when your in one of the highest paying fields in the world and I’m sure the training HQ buffet lunch is on the house.

Just like this Cowboys fan zone, the Dallas Cowboys could be distracted not paying attention to this NY Giants team that has lost 2 games by a combined 4 points and just beat Sean Payton's Saints.

Daniel Jones is more mobile and faster than Donald, Barkley is a better RB than Carolina had on Sunday, and the Giants defense is good at points allowed.

Cowboys have had self inflicted distractions. LVE is posting about fans flack towards Jaylon Smith, both Cooper and Elliott just return to practice after injuries and are only doing individual drills, and Dan Quinn is reading Jaylon Smith's good bye letters.

So just like the fans should do....Cowboys should move on to the Giants.
This team hasn’t earned a “trap game”. They’re only 4 games in and nothing from previous years says this is going to be any different. 7-2…8-1…then talk about a “trap game.”

Don't know about a trap game but it's a huge mistake to overlook the Giants and I don't believe our players will.

Agreed. Giants seem formidable. Daniel Jones is talented and very mobile. Saquon is explosive. It sounds like they think Toney is really really good with the ball and they don't give up a million points so I expect them to very much be in the game. I think we out talent them though, so I think we should win with the way we have played so far. Would it "shock" me if we lost? No, but it would surprise me if we don't take the game seriously enough (trap game.)

Divisional games are typically not trap games, particularly when the Giants are the opponent and the game is in AT&T.

i don't necessarily think so. but i do feel like we're catching the Giants at a somewhat dangerous time. they've been pretty bad, but they have a LOT of talent on that team and may be figuring it out

Now that we're flying high, every game is a trap game. LOL

Seriously, except for maybe the Chiefs and Cards game on our schedule, they're all games we should win now.

If we don’t beat them by 4 touchdowns it’s a moral loss

Don’t eat the cheese! The team needs to keep that going!

Don't forget Parsons Instagram fighting with the media....
That is why I say Jerry Dumbo GM Jones. Distraction and the Cowboy are distracted from the Giants.

If they were worried about Jaylon Smith injury clause they should have cut him during the off season. Are during training camp when his leg could not move the blocking sled.

Giants are going to be sending out Barkley on routes out the backfield. Linebackers need to focus on that and not national media or fans dogging Jaylon Smith.

Defense still has too much to prove. That 4th quarter letdown will not allow complacency.

The offense maybe but with the leaders I doubt it.

Moore is going to go all Garrett on them. the run is working, but they will never suspect we're going to throw it 55 times this game.

Ive told my coworkers since Monday this could be a trap game.

Trap game alright.

Giants are going trapped, skinned and eaten.

Would definitely stink to come out Monday 3-2 because of the freaking Giants.

ALL WEST GAMES - Go in looking for a tough game - Chiefs, Raiders, Cardinals, Broncos - that Cards game in Week 17 may determine NFC Home Field advantage, who knows?

SEMI-TRAP GAMES - Minnesota, Patriots, Saints.. there's enough there on all 3 teams to not take them lightly

PURE TRAP GAMES - All NFC East, Falcons, the worst of the bunch

This feels like a team that won't sucker itself into trap games like it has under all coaches since Landry & Jimmy. Only time will tell.

Should not be, winning games with in the division is the quickest way to lock up division. McCarthy needs to have this team focused not on NY win/loss record but the significates of divisional games

What's your dollar amount for when people aren't allowed to complain?

"Trap Game" is a term created for fans who overlook the Giants. The Cowboys prepare every week for their opponent. Some weeks games will be a butt whooping, some they will lose, some will be close. But the final outcome is not a reflection of a "trap game". Any team can be beaten. Any Sunday. Has nothing to do with it being a "trap".
I'm not sure but I think I spotted the Giants coaching staff, (aka Garrett), laying out some actual bear traps throughout the playing field. During the pregame meeting, he will let his players know where he placed them.

Thank goodness for NFC East games, because otherwise this is quite a tough schedule. ;)
