I just read somewhere (fox sports) I think and it says that TBeard hasn't been placed on the retired list. Why is this? Could he be having second thoughts because the Boys would be that much better if he returned.

It does not matter. Player can un-retire after being placed on the "retired list".

Team are probably minimizing official transactions that don't have to be done now during this lock-out period of many employees working from home.

Doubtful.

Guys that play OL tend to lose the weight and muscle from not playing.

Not everyone is a freak like Aldon Smith lol

Youre right. I dont think I took time to process him leaving cuz I was knee deep in C19. Its crazy though because I figured it would take two years before he returned to form, and I thought there was a lot tread left.

From the way he talked, he needs to take a year off from football and just heal.

Why is there a cap hit on retired players?
His base salary isn’t
Any money he’s already received but spread over years is
Because he’s already got the money
He was restructured to save cap space
So he already got that 10 mil

Because there is still committed money committed under his contract.
The cap hit is money he’s already got when he was restructured
If he hadn’t been restructured you would have gained his base salary amount
