Travis Fredrick Breaks Down Our RB's

Love to see some good ol fashioned football talk

I think Alf is better in this scheme and should get the bulk of the carries......his lack of catches is overrated..... they are only dump offs and screens anyways

Zeke is averaging less than 3 catches a game so it's not like the passes to our RB's is a huge part of the game plan.

He has never been much of a receiver, even going back to Washington. He has a grand total of 51 receptions in his whole six year career. The only real negative of that is that when he is in the backfield, it does eliminate the defense from even considering the likelihood he sneaks out to catch a pass. At least until the Cowboys give them a reason to consider it.

Alfred has always been one of backs that gets better as the game goes along. That's always been the trouble with him with the limited carries he has been given here. I have a feeling we will screw that up myself, by playing too many backs.

I kind of hope we do (screw it up), though. Because I want to see Rod Smith get some carries. I've never been high on McFadden for us. He's the back I'd short in this situation, unless Morris just can't deliver.

Apparently the coaches are enamored with Smith. I've heard Archer and others say that a lot recently. My bet is he will be our goal line back initially.

Morris will start. Smith got second team reps in practice today.

McFaddenites should be bummed.

Who is the short yardage back? My vote is Smith, for this.

But will the team pull the trigger? That's a different question.

Morris is the short yardage back.....Rushing TDs have never been a problem for him

He has never shown he was incapable......it just kind of became a tag... I have never seen him smedley a pass like TWill or look uncomfortable

True about his history but he caught a pass in the last game.
