I’m rolling with Fergs and Hendershot next year and not looking back. Schultz will be playing with the Jets or Chicago.
Possibly catching balls from Aaron Rodgers then….that would suck for him….ha

If this indeed the old M&M WCO then I think Hendershot will do well in it. He was a short pass, YAC, working through traffic guy at Indiana. Whether or not the blame is on Kellen or the entire offense the tight ends were underutilized. Ferguson played 40% of all offensive snaps yet 75% of those snaps were as a blocker. Hendershot played 26% of the offensive snaps but 62% of that was as a blocker. We've yet to see what either can really do as a receiver even though they were on the field a lot. It's an unproven TE room without Shultz in it and it will be up to the coaching staff to get these guys more involved in catching the football.

Kelce runs a TE camp in the offseason and Ferguson attended. That's like 95% of the reason he says this. All three guys he mentioned attended his camp.

Means absolutely nothing.
Agreed! I think a large number of Cowboys’ fans (me included at times) anoint and deride players prematurely…let’s give them an opportunity to develop a body of work on which to be judged

Nah, can't be... Mel Kiper said: "Jake Ferguson (129) is just a backup tight end based on what I saw on tape. He went too high."

I like Ferguson as a backup. I always thought he'd overachieve in the league but I don't want to settle for him as the starter. Especially with this QB who needs greatness all around him to function against the best teams.
The Cowboys always invested very low draft stock and capitol in the te position but it's a staple position in our offense based upon snapcounts since we use so much 11, 12, & 13 personnel groups almost exclusive.

I mean Schultz had 10 targets per game in the last 5 games and he's ok but not a game changer.

We need an elite TE or we need to scale back snapcounts and overutilization as a top wr because none of these tes are elite. Maybe when we get an elite TE we can emphasize the position the way we have since 2011 ish

We don't have a te on this roster that should be getting 10 targets a game.

We're gonna have to find better ways to get our playmakers the ball and target our better rbs and Wrs until we find an elite TE

Signing Schultz kills our wr trio dream. He's just a 4th or 5th option as a receiver imo.

I think everybody knows we need a trio at wr so we can get better separation
