Cowboys currently lack vocal leadership on their lines - lack identity, maybe even mental toughness, need the 3 V's

Vocal Leadership - Stay Loud
Versatility - Stay on the Field
Viagra - Stay Hard

*Draft Choices that display leadership, toughness & VERSATILITY:

OLINE
Max Unger, Oregon, 6'5 309
*In Your Face Leadership / super intelligent
*Always looks to finish / Plays to whistle / Nasty disposition
*Can play every OL position at high level
*Highest upside

Eric Wood, Louisville, 6'4 310
*Unquestioned in-your-face leader of OL / ultra prepared
*Tough & physical, doesn't give up (even when getting whupped)
*Can play C, OG and maybe RT

Alex Mack, California, 6'4 312
*Vocal Leader & Role Model (all american in athletics & academics)
*Very physical / always looking for someone to hit
*Can play OG as well as C
*Best OL in this draft (IMO), maybe maxed out in terms of upside

Antoine Caldwell, Alabama, 6'3 305
*Smart/Aware Leader
*Leader of the most physical OL in nation, explosive out of stance
*Can play every OL position, athletic
*41gy can expand if necessary

Robert Brewster, Ball St, 6'4 325
*High character / intelligent / strong work ethic
*Tenacious / Needs to work on power (very nice lateral ability for size)
*Success & Experience at OT, OG, maybe C
*Upside

T.J. Lang, Eastern Michigan, 6'4 315
*Good character / Hard worker
*Nasty disposition / pit bull in trenches
*Best fit is OG, but experienced at OT, maybe best at C
*Versatile but raw

DLINE
Mitch King, Iowa, 6'2 280
*Ultra Competitive / Super Intense / Vocal Leader - on/off field
*Violent hands / Penetrator / Explosive Hitter / non-stop motor
*Recruited as LB, Played DE & DT (best fit: 4-3, but Wade plays 4-3 under/3-4 hybrid)
*Elite Intangibles (probably best in this draft)

Paul Kruger, Utah, 6'4 265
*Unquestion leader (fiery, vocal) of undefeated Utah defense
*Instincts, intelligence & hustle allows him to play faster than timed
*Can play 4-3 DE, 3-4 OLB, 3-4 DE (gain weight, lots of room on frame) or 3-4 ILB (best fit IMO)
*High intangibles & tough as nails (former QB/smart)

BAT,

I have to say, I am a bit surprised we haven't shown any apparent interest in Kruger. He seems just the type of football player we're looking to draft.

Same here. Especially since the Cowboys are very familiar with his teammates, Sean Smith & Brice McCain.

Hey BAT, enjoyed your postings here lately.

Here's something I just thought of, after some beers (hey, it is draft weekend after all ...)

I wonder if the new glamorous stadium, all the press about it and the amazing digs and locker room and the enormous home opening weekend festivities prolly planned by Jerry and the large screen (hey I might not pay attention in the huddle, if on the last play I could watch my *** make a first down on the ginormous HD scoreboard ...)

Whoops, I didn't finish the sentence ...

Sorry that was a long clause, but point is, I wonder if the stadium deal is going to be so huge, that it will distract the weak-minded players on the team, like "Hard Knocks" might have done last few years ...

Funny, I had a dream last night featuring J. Simpson. I was surprised, seriously. With all respect to Tony, I have to take stock, man I could do better in the whole world of babes, in my imagination anyway. Don't you think?

Sorry, what was this thread about? Time for more beer.

i think Kruger is wrong type for our defense, he is more to me if he can play linebacker a big strong linebacker like bill parcells wants for his defenses

whereas wade wants linebackers with more speed;
