I have been noticing this over the last few years. Wade is winning many people over. I would venture to guess that many would take him over Parcells. Well, I agree. Being a NYer, I saw him as a good coach while in Buffalo. I thought he got the most of his teams. He won games w/ Doug Flutie for God sake. It is a different NFL, but the players like him and play hard for him. He finally has players that match his scheme. I for one am rooting just as much for Wade to win a SB as I am for Tony. Wade's career is going to look pretty good w/ a SB and the nice guy deserves it.

:hammer:

I've said this before -- to mixed criticism and praise -- but we have quietly become one of the better-run franchises in the league.

JJT detailed recently how Carpenter was our only real "busted" first round pick in a while; we've won the division twice in the last three years; our drafts are surprisingly consistent; etc.

We still don't have the hardware to show for it (Super Bowls), but at least we're no longer a franchise grinding its tires in the mud. Sorry, Washington.

Not every boss would give you his blessings to play golf instead of coming to work.

You'll always be a hater, you know it.

lol.

Wade is not bad and whats best he has no ego.... He allows Jerry to do his media thing but you can see he has also put his stamp on this team.

But like any Cowboy coach Wade will need to win a Super Bowl to get the full support of Cowboy Nation!

Sometimes that doesn't even do it. See- Barry Switzer...the hotdog eating phenomenon!

Bozo never won a Super Bowl that was the ghost of Jimmy Johnson!

Most good bosses do, when you're really, really good at your job and there's not a competent replacement for you in sight.

Wade has always been a good coach. Nothing new there. But we expect a SB victory and if he does not deliver this year or next he is gone.

Wade's biggest problem has always been his happy-go-lucky persona. That, and his goofy rationales (comparing the bye week to a playoff win for example).

But he's a very good coach.

He is trending down as a HC until he wins a Superbowl. This is the Cowboys damnit. You either win a Superbowl or you suck!

I think Wade is a very good HC but regardless of how I or other fans or the media feel about Wade pro or con what matters is do the players buy into what he is doing and do they respond by going out and playing hard for him.

I think Wade also works well with Jerry and yes I think what Wade thinks matters to Jerry. Even after the draft Jerry may have talked about a player but then would defer to Wade of how that player fit into our scheme

He deserves some credit, though. I know everybody thinks Switzer was a joke, but he must've been delegating well or something for the Cowboys to go to the conference championship one year and win the Super Bowl the next under him. Believe it or not, there are coaches that would not have had that kind of success with those same players.

Back to Wade, I am satisfied with what he has done so far. I see improvement each season. Remember, injuries derailed the team in 08. Wade has coached the Cowboys three seasons and the result is two division titles and the first playoff win in eons. And the team continues to look better and better under his tutelage. We all know what the next step is. Will Wade become the 4th coach to win a Super Bowl in Cowboys history?

he reminds me of another older coach in another sport....charlie Manuel for Philadelphia phillies. In philly.....Manuel was considered just some old time coach who was long out of touch with younger players. His PC were painful at times to listen too.....then his team just started winning...now everyone listens to what he has to say. I see same thing happening with Wade. I remember half the post were about how big of a dope Wade was and now I almost never see it. Its amazing how tide changes...but I agree...Wade has momentum at the moment....people are actually listening to what he has to say.

Both Barry and Wade are excellent coaches, their records speak for themselves. People just find reasons to hate,,, probably the majority of haters don't like Barry because he's a Sooner great and Wade because he's an awe-shucks country boy.

I like 'em both

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-U! :)
