I saw Trent Green carted off the field. What happened? Seems this guy needs to retire before he dies on the field.

He threw a low block on a busted play and took a knee to the head and was immediately knocked out. The guy he blocked then got a flag for talking **** to him while he laid there.

It's unfortunate Green got hurt, but he shouldn't have been going for Travis Johnson's knees.

A QB is not exactly practicing to block. You do know the guy was a 300 lb lineman- right? Going low was the only chance he had. And you claim he was going for his knees. Do you understand how stupid that sounds?

Johnson was'nt even looking at Green. He could have blocked him a little higher and had the same impact on the play, which was none at all.

I saw the game, and I replayed the play in question several times. I don't believe Green had any intent to injure on the play but he did go for Johnson's knees. There isn't a d-lineman in the league that wouldn't have been upset by that block. Most would have been smart enough not to taunt an unconcious player. Unfortunately brains are not TJ's strong suit.

Miami should have stuck with Harrington or Culpepper. Green is awful at this point in his career.

That said, I do hope he is OK.

I really don't feel sorry for any one who wants to take a shot at a players knees. The last I checked, football was a contact sport. You see CB's and safeties taking on lineman, so why the heck can a QB not take his licks like the rest? If you are going to hit someone, be a man and hit them, don't blindside them in the knees.

It may be cold hearted of me, but I really have no sympathy for Trent. He made a dirty play and he ended up the one hurt for it. No ones fault but his own.

That pretty much sums it up.
