Trent Williams faces tough test in DeMarcus Ware

People worried about our RT.

This kid has yet to see NFL competition and the first player he's going to see is a future hall of famer.

Yea ...... that has to suck ...

Frankly, I would be pretty disappointed in Ware if he didn't get at least 2 sacks. Williams looked absolutely clueless in the preseason game against the Ravens. Wade should be throwing all kinds of overloaded blitz packages on his side.

Hahahah they are gonna have to help Williams so much witch leaves Ratt or Spencer 1 on 1 or mabey both sometimes and I still see Ware getting aleast 1 sack

This is an OVERRATED matchup! The kid will have a TE/FB chipping Ware ALL game long. He won't have to contend with any of Ware's counter/speed moves. He'll just have to stop Ware's bull rush, which will be easy enough for someone his size. The matchup to watch, is Spencer going against the ORT. Because Ware will command a double team on every passing play, Spencer will get 1-on-1 attention with the ORT. Furthermore, by keeping in a TE/FB to help Williams, there will be less receivers running routes. This will make McNabb have to hold on to the ball longer, which is going to give Spencer all kinds of opportunities for sacks. Don't watch Ware, watch Spencer! Spencer's play will determine whether or not we'll have a dominant D this year. If you allow a team to get away with chipping on Ware, without paying for it, they'll do it. If you make them pay, by Spencer having a BIG day, they won't be able to stop us. You can scheme to stop one, but you can't scheme to stop both, or else you won't have enough receivers running patterns. It'll be "pick-your-poison!"

Eh...I'm not sure what to think about Arrington's columns. In a previous one regarding our tackles, he states that Free has no real game experience.

Um...okay...

I wonder how much interest Larry Johnson has in blocking. I remember Scott Fujita clobbering Trent Green in '05 when LJ wanted no part of blocking and pretty much ole'd, leading to a big Spears fumble recovery.

And I think Shanahan will try to run a lot and play action off to try to keep them in short 3rd downs and make Ware and everyone else at least think about the run before they pin their ears back.

Well, they can try play action, but I don't think they're going to have enough time to set those plays up. The Cowboys will be blitzing regardless, and against the skins' offensive line, I expect to see McChunky on the ground several times Sunday night.
