Trevon Diggs is 2 months early in ACL rehab

Well, someone’s not telling the truth or at least has their facts wrong if Diggs is telling us how successful his rehab was and “others” are saying he didn’t take it seriously enough. I’m sure not in a position to say who is wrong, but someone is…
I think it may be a difference in opinion via Diggs did at least some of the rehab on his own time and maybe didn't do everything that he was suppose to do at the star.

A setback Jerry blames him for.........he is still in Jerry's dog house. I don't him returning after this season unless he has an ALL-PRO year.

It will probably be like the Cooper/Gallup/Lamb thing. Cooper (Diggs) got in the doghouse and we needed to decide whether to keep him or pay Gallup (Bland) to pair with Lamb (Revel), who was on a rookie contract.

Of course, this depends on Revel playing well enough to make it viable to cut Diggs, and Diggs not playing so well that it makes no sense to cut him. Cooper not only got into the doghouse but didn't play himself out of it. He was getting paid at a No. 1 receiver level at the time and didn't live up to it.

We save $13 million against the cap by cutting Diggs, so it makes sense as long as Bland and Revel play well. Of course, Gallup was coming off an ACL tear when we chose to pay him instead of keep Cooper, so it might not matter what anyone does and the Joneses will just cut or trade Diggs anyway.

I could see him not being the type of corner Eberflus wants since his corners have got to hold up against the run on the outside. That's definitely not Diggs' strength.

I think that's why Micah reacted the way that he did to criticism of Diggs, jumping to his defense. I think Diggs did what he thought his body needed but not necessarily all that the team was telling him to do. So therefore, even though he got back earlier than expected, the team blames him for the setback he experienced.

Maybe part of his reason for releasing this videos is to try to justify his approach.

BTW, I think this thread title should be changed. He isn't two months early; he was two months early last year.

It remains to be seen whether or not Diggs can return to the playing field when he's expected to or not. Jerry sounds like he's willing to allow him sufficient time to get back to game time action. Exactly what that might mean to Diggs and what it means to the Cowboys' staff is yet to be seen. It's that serious.

Maybe his injury was severe enough to cause serious concern as to when he'll be able to return safely. We'll see when the time comes for his return to be fully ready to play. The doctors will definitely have their say. They must not be inclined to rush his return haphazardly, with his entire career at stake.

He's been around the Cowboys long enough, I trust the man.

How far along is Diggs in rehabbing his propensity to allow receivers to get behind him and catch long passes?

Football ready is a whole other animal. I will believe it when I see it. And there is no guarantee he won't get injured the same or worse again. Continue to give it 100% with that prospect in mind, young Diggs. I welcome you back but I'm sorry if it includes skepticism over your ability to still be the ballhawk you once were.
