This guy reminds me of drew Brees. He's only 6 foot 1 but he shows great field awareness and can make all the throws. Very smart guy and a natural born leader. He is eligible for the draft next year. But I think he will wait another year before coming out to improve his draft position. What do you guys think of him?

I like him, he's very accurate, makes good decisions, and has enough arm. He needs to shorten up that delivery a little but I like what I see.

Went to my rival high school (Reagan) so got to see him play in HS. Good player. Solid athlete too.

He would be on my list not sure he would be the top five at this point in the season. He is poised to move up and worth keeping an eye on at this time. IMO

Eh, no. He's not even close to being a good pro prospect right now. He's more of an athlete who is still learning to be a passer. His running ability is what makes him dangerous.

This is how I feel about it. Having seen him play live and on TV I'm not sure that right now I'd be real comfortable with him as a QB in the NFL.

I agree. He agitates me with how he flips the ball on release. Come on stoops fix that.

I know you are just joking around, but Stoops doesn't know how to fix that type of issue. Most college coaches don't do enough to fix QBs mechanics because they either don't know how or don't care. In college you can get by with less than stellar mechanics. These guys are coaching to win now and not really worried about what a QB needs to improve to make it at the NFL level.

Big OU fan here.

No, Trevor Knight is not an NFL quarterback. Good college player, but not a pro by a long shot.

He looked much different when playing Latech, and Tulsa, after watching him against two quality opponents (Tenn, W Virginia) Knight is an NFL level athlete but his ceiling IMO is a day three backup qb. He has time to improve but he's not accurate enough nor does he see the field, read coverages and anticipate well enough to be a regular starter in the NFL. I could see him being a backup Qb that comes off the bench and throws deep or runs for first downs but not much else. OU can go a ways down the road with him at QB.
He is not the guy we are looking for in this years draft.

Off topic question here - do you think Bell has a NFL future at TE?

If Jordan Phillips is healthy then he's a first rounder. He could start for the Cowboys this Sunday.

Geneo Grissom as an edge rusher is a potential top 100 pick and he too is better than anything Jerry has on the edge.

Chuka Ndule is a draft able 3-5 end
Daryl Williams is a top 100 pick at OT
Tyrus Thompson is a draftable OT as well
Blake Bell might intrigue teams as a TE but he needs reps and a big combine IMO
Adam Shead and Dionte Savage may be draftable guys. Both are maulers and if Sheads back checks out then he is an NFL player at OG.

That's it for 2015 and I have no idea if Philips will declare. If he gets a first or second round grade and he's healthy then I bet he comes out.

Thanks for the responses. I watched Bell dominate thru high school at QB and always wondered if he could translate his talent into the pro's. With his bloodlines I'm sure NFL scouts have him on their radar.

He's got a good arm and wins from the pocket, but can move around well. He isn't a runner like manziel. He can throw the football.

The only legit pro players I've seen on OU's team is John Phillips and the Grissom kid.

The rest are meh.
