DE from Arkansas. I think this guy could be a beast in the NFL. I think he currently has a 3rd round grade but I would absolutely take him in the 2nd if he checks out. I really like this guy.

I'm not a big tape watcher, but how do you think he compares to OO from UCLA?

I like Flowers a lot. I like his production an how he plays and he is also the RKOG. Leadership qualities. Has Mincey's intangibles.

I'm not much of a OO fan. Injury history and just a one year starter I believe.

They are probably pretty similar athletes once on the move, but Owa definitely fires out of his stance faster than Flowers can. And while Flowers can more than hold his own, I don't think he has the upper body strength to move o lineman back the way Owa does.

Flowers is definitely good though. I would have no problem with him at the end of the 2nd.

Based on what?

just what ive seen watching prospects.
in my opinion oo is a far superior player and athelete and cause more disruption even tho he is playing in a 3 man front compared to flowers playing as end in 4-3 or olb in 3-4 depending on how arkansas lines up.
To me oo is the better player right now and the guy with more upside long term. Not sayng flowers doesnt do things well and isnt a decent prospect,i was just giving my opinion on the question that was asked

Compare the two players and particularly TFL. Flowers, is really explosive off the ball and he plays DT, as well as DE. I really like that guy.

That is not what I see. I think Flowers is the quicker, more explosive player.

Man, I can't say I agree with this at all. Flow
Lot of good info. any chance one moves up to bottom of 1st?

I think Flowers will rise if the numbers I'm hearing are real. He could be a 1st round type guy if he turns in a good combine.

Edit: While I think Flowers could move himself up if he performs like he has been rumored to test, I would not want him in the 1st. I think he is a 2nd at best but DE is an over drafted position at times and he could move up with strong Combine numbers.

Fair enough, to each their own. I'll be honest and say that I need to see more of Flowers. Living in the Northeast I don't get to see as many SEC games live as most here so I'm relying heavily on whatever draftbreakdown.com puts up...which is only 1 game in 2014 so far. I will say that he will have to seriously impress me to convince me that he's capable of doing what Owa did to the USC o-line in this game.... http://draftbreakdown.com/video/owamagbe-odighizuwa-vs-usc-2014/

They say this kid can broad 10.10 and his shuttle time is 4.37.

To give you an idea, Clowney jumped 10.4 and had a SS of 4.43.

I'm really interested to see how Flowers tests.

im more interested in the eye test-as in what the scouts see on the field rather than what they see at the combine.

That's fine. I actually agree. Look at his numbers over his career. He's been pretty productive, especially considering that Arkansas has moved him all over the place. If he had been allowed to just play one position, I think his production would be even better. However, not bad as it is.
