The Bengals just lost their qb last week and could become Sellers at the deadline. Hendrickson just signed a 1yr contract and is a fa next offseason. Due to him playing on a 1 yr deal, perhaps we could get him for a day 2 pick.

His contract is far cheaper than what Parsons received and is considered the more balanced player. Just 30!year old still in his prime. Think he can go along way in adding more juice to our pass rush with the departure of Parsons.

he is a premier pass rusher, ala Parsons. so he will be in high demand. he may need to agree to an extension before being traded. if for a one year deal, mid season, then no more than a 2nd, assuming he leaves in FA and you recoup a 3rd. so essentially if your team is ready and he is missing piece, then you make a trade. but we have way more holes on defense than a great DE

Yeah I seen that floating red online and I'm sorry but 30 years old is a little up there for a guy who wants another long-term deal They're not gonna trade him for free we don't know what pick they actually want there's a reason he wasn't traded before because I think they have his value way up as far as the draft compensation..

what are you willing to pay? both the draft pick and the money have to be considered... I think we're overreacting early in the season I think our pass rush along with Clowney and these guys catching up to this defense is going to click soon so I'd be very careful about this..

In the end though my opinion their quarterback I don't think he's out for the season and their backup is a lot like Cooper Rush if they can play defense meaning they don't trade Hendrickson they can hold down the ship better I mean that talent on offense is ridiculous I think if their backup can win a couple of games early on in this they're not gonna trade Hendrickson not for a cheap like you think they're not going to be willing to before the trade deadline just give him up for free...

He's not 26 he is 30 and I don't know what he's wanting so somebody is going to have to find out what the man wants for a true long-term deal... It's important because we just went through this with a much younger more in his prime with a lot more elite days ahead of him in Parsons now everyone wants to backtrack it makes no sense to go get Clowny and and then go get him because you're overreacting to the early start..

Lastly in my opinion if we're going to do something like this we need to give it two more weeks here as well I wanna see what our record is what our team looks like we start getting back players and I don't know when the trade deadline is but I think we need at least three more games to determine whether it's worth making a trade like this or if we even need it.

We are two games into a very long process all that depth chart all those players brought in all the ones sitting on the practice squad the ones sitting on IR they're going to come back so I need to see more...

The time to get him would have been before signing Clowney.

I also think an OT may become a higher priority that an Edge rusher soon. Guyton and Steele have been as bad as if not worse than our pass rush.

not giving up a 1st and would be fine with anything else

A day 2 pick seems fair as we would also have to give him extension. He is a real good player and will cost much less due to his age

Guyton had his struggles against the Giants, but Burns is one of the best in the league. Think Thomas will eventually unseat Steele

Yeah but that only answers one question he is not worth Parsons money so where is he at money wise Will he take 36 on say a three year deal I mean at his age maybe you don't want any more than that how much guaranteed I mean this is what other details that the front office and the people who are actually professionals have to go through..

If you give up a pick for this guy you have to worry about his age his health how much he has left in the tank but the draft pick versus the money.

Like I said, I would consider it but I'm waiting until the last minute, you know but maybe a week towards the trade deadline, if he's still there depending on what Cincinnati is at and where we're at,

they may not want to let him go, like I said if I'm A GM over there,

I'm not letting him walk right now they have a chance to maintain some level of consistency on offense, because they're loaded on offense and that quarterback is like Cooper Rush, can keep things moving at least at a respectable rate, why would you make your defense worse?

I'm curious to which one the coaches are leaning towards replacing, like how much rope do either one of these guys actually have,

because our offense is starting to gain momentum to being one of the tops in the league, you can have one of these guys that ruin your day like Chaz Green did, and I don't think any one of these guys are Chaz Green and but Steele is better in the run game he does run block very well, but the speed rushers kill him, i'm wondering how truly the coaches see these players versus the way we see them...

Who do they think is the weak link and when will they pull the plug?

Be easy for them right now with Guyton with a sore shoulder why not make him the swing tackle today only and give Nate Thomas a shot at left tackle and see what he looks like in a real game and it's not making Guyton look bad because he can get his job back next week..

Why not figure out if we have a better player before the Green Bay game in the big stretch coming in October...??

They aren’t in sell mode yet, but that can change if their backup has his struggles. I think he would be under 35 million range for his extension. Thats a big contract, but he has been a real good player throughout his career and hasn’t shown any drop off

If Thomas unseats Steele because he is that good that's a positive. If he unseats Steele because Steele is that bad that is not a positive. But this is why I think they may need an OT before an edge rusher. Everyone assumes it will be Thomas, but maybe it will be Cornelius or Adeniji.

Have to see how it plays out, Steele is starting cause he is our best run lineman

This is where I think Thomas can be good. I think he will also be an excellent run blocker. The question is can he keep up with top NFL edge rushers?

I have noticed they often give Guyton help with a TE or RB to chip the DE, but that leaves Steele one on one and he needs help too. Have two OTs who can't pass protect is a serious handicap for an offense.

Keep in mind Guyton is very young and was a raw prospect coming out, he was a 1st rd pick for a reason. Ultimately, he is going to be able to play on an island and not need extra help

A better pass rush (which between him and Clowney we most definitely would have) makes a difference throughout the defense though.
