I don't know if I agree or disagree. The hype was there with GB, especially after beating the Lions wk1 and the electricity of seeing Micah chasing down Goff.

But then they got full of themselves and got worked @CLE. And then they tied the lowly Dallas Cowboys, and struggled with the Cardinals.

It was an incomplete year from my perspective-- one derailed by injuries. While I thought they were good, I'm not sure they met the initial hype ever.

But you're right. Depends on how Micah returns, and ultimately I don't care about how Green Bay does anymore because we've already received max value we can from them in the trade compensation.

Packers caved to the pressure just like Dallas does. They were a good team prior to Micah. He gets hurt and they implode.

I don't like how we're being hyped either. Too much talking from a team that's done nothing. I can not wait for this season to start so we can get a good idea where this team really is.

GB looked like a SB team last year until he got hurt. It all depends if he can come back Good again. I don't really care what they do anyway. It's what we do with the players we got that I care about. If hype was a criteria we'd be SB Champs. Usually this team plays better when they fly under the radar.

I truly believe that it was a classic trade that benefited both teams because of the different condition of their respective defenses.

They were just starting to gell when he went down. They didn't win one game after he hurt himself. I don't know what they'll look like This year but at the time of his injury I remember thinking GB was a legitimate contender.

Yes but if we finish 25th, that mean we made the playoffs and won a playoff game.
And GB missed the playoffs, even with the vaunted Micah.

In means we made progress. I will take the 13 picks lower for that.

I agree with that, but I'm only talking from a value viewpoint. 12 to 25 in the first round is a huge step down in value.

I don’t care anything about his podcast. Never watched one and ignore outside noise .

And he wasn’t a distraction until Jethro disrespected him in contract negotiations.

I never really understood why it bothered so many fans. We don't have to listen.

Also agreed on when he became a distraction. It was when the front office started bad-mouthing him and his agent. Now, that does not excuse Parsons' behavior and it showed a level of immaturity, but all I ever care about with our players (unless they are committing crimes) is how they do on the field ... and Parsons has been one of the top pressure players since he entered the league.

Those that say but, but, but his podcasts, but, but, but he disappears late in the season, but, but, but the injuries are just looking to make excuses for why it's good to get rid of a four-time All-Pro who is in the prime of his career (despite the injury setback).

You may be right. Maybe wanting them to be bad is clouding how bad they were.

Yeah that’s how I feel. Micah getting hurt changed it for me. People don’t want to factor that in but you do. It’s essentially 2 years thrown away. And assuming if he was hurt here we’d have nothing to show for it except debt.

The signature wins of the 9-3-1 start were DET (x2), CHI, and PIT. They lost to the Eagles and Panthers. But man... should I really count DET? They missed the playoffs and those games have traditionally been a struggle for DET anyway.

Then came the difficult part of the schedule that coincided with Micah's injuries, and they went 0-5.

That's why it's incomplete for me. I didn't see 'good' get really tested.

Yeah that’s a good point. Was it Micah’s departure or was it the competition? People don’t mention the competition and schedule got tougher.
