As for the skins use of a trick play, did Portis(or Betts) ever throw the option pass? I think I recall that one of them did before but I'm not sure. Anyone know for sure?

Portis threw 1 TD pass last year. I remember it because I had that stiff Laveranues Coles on my fantasy team last year and that was his only receiving TD all year. Of course, i happened to be playing the owner of Portis that week :bang2:

They should try the screen pass. Would be a miracle if one would actually work this year.

I imagine as Julius becomes more and more proficient in the passing game, we'll see it run successfully. But if BP can get A-train and Barber more involved in the offense, I think we'll definitely see it work more than in years past...

I'm waiting on seeing a pass by Crayton, either off a backwards pass or reverse

Crayton threw an interception last year, but I believe he lined up behind the center with Vinnie wide. They ran the option (near the goal line), and Crayton threw it into traffic.

Edit: Nope, it was a reverse (took handoff from JJ) in the last Giants game according to nfl.com play-by-play. The play was a 1st and 10 from the NYG 22 and the pass was intended for Witten.

The boyz have been beating us with trick plays for YEARS. And Tuna has always seemed to use them against Gibbs, too, going back to Joe Morris throwing haflback option passes at RFK. I'd be schocked if you guys didnt' run at least one.

Not sure you want to go flea-flicker, though. Too slow-developing. My money would be on something like the quick backward pass-option noted above to try to beat the blitz.
