When's the last time the Cowboys ran a trick play? I think you'd have to go back to when Parcells was here. This is something Garrett's got to consider, especially in a big game. Now that Romo is the holder on field goals, this sets up an opportunity for fake field goals. Come on Garrett, being unpredictable is hard to defend. Just ask Les Miles.

As many FGs as we kick, you'd think they'd have a fake in there somewhere.

I would like to see some confusion in our offensive play call.

Misdirection, counters, and some gadgetry to keep defenses on their toes.

Everything about our offense is vanilla.

An end around? That's about as crazy as it gets for Garrett. Does play-action pass count as a trick play? I'm thinking more of fake punts, fake field goals or even a surprise on-side kick.

Wrong. We ran one last year out of the wild cat. Choice tossed it to Felix on a reverse who tossed it to Kitna for a pass thrown back to Felix. It was in Week 15 against the Commanders.

Romo lateral to Witten deep pass to Owens.

That was more of a busted play. But you reminded me that we had Barber thriw a halfback pass against the Commanders in Week 1 last year.

That play was epic. Too bad it came in a 44-6 beat down. That was TO's last game as a Cowboy, right?

I'm still waiting for an end around for Dez who then throws it to Robinson deep with that cannon of a left arm he has. Perhaps we are saving it for a special occasion but with Dez's running ability and strong arm it seems like a natural trick play.

Having said that I remember when we got Crayton who actually played QB in college to try a similar play back in 2005 or so and he threw up a real duck.

Our WRs seem to barely know the basic plays. Asking them to execute a trick play?? Come on.

It's like there's not enough criticism of Garrett out there. People are just looking for anything to ***** about.

I thought the complaint was Garrett gets too tricky with his playcalling?

You know what I want to see? I want to see Murray and Jones together in the backfield where they run that fake handoff to Murray going one way and then pitch it to Felix the other way. That's the play where Miles Austin got hurt.

They used similar permutations of that at Arkansas with McFadden and Jones. Jones got tons of yards pretty much every time they did that because McFadden was so dangerous. Felix is really at his best when he's got a little bit of space.
