Trip to the Grocery Store

I live south of Tampa -- a tourist area. The population doubles from December through March. A lot of people own two homes -- one in Florida and one somewhere else. Me, I cannot afford that, and quite frankly I am getting used to the heat -- we keep the temp on 78 degrees -- winter or summer. But there are a lot of people from the mid-west that live in this area during the winter. On the East Coast more people from the Northeast.

So, I am cooking today, going to make a big pot of my chili. So off I go to the grocery store to get everything I need.

Interesting, not one person with a GB or Pittsburgh shirt on. Not one. (a place where there are a lot of mid-west folks) And the store was packed. I thought that was rather strange -- but lots of people with other teams shirts on. One guy and his daughter were coming in and he had the whole nine yards -- Rams -- stuff on. I kind of laughed with him and said, don't you have the wrong year or something??? He said, well, we really don't care who wins.

My response, I am going for Green Bay. Cannot root for a team that has arrogant fans, dirty players, and a rapist as their QB -- and they agreed. Similar thoughts throughout the grocery store. And I saw shirts on from a number of other teams.

I don't know the sentiment throughout the rest of the country, but found it all rather strange ---
