Anyone else think we should run that triple option with choice, jones and barber more? Its extremely sexy and should be ran at least five times a game.

Let's also bring back Switzer as a consultant.

If Choice would have pitched it, Felix probably scores.

Maybe...

But I think it's still too early to use "Choice" and "Pitch" in the same sentence when recommending new plays. :)

Landry would have tackled him since the CB kept contain. If the CB cheated down towards Choice, Choice would have pitched it and Jones would have scored if Barber blocks the safety.

Choice blocks the LB in front of him.
Barber blocks the CB in front of him.
Barron is holding his guy.
Landry is back there unblocked.

Nice angle.

From real time it looked like one solid block from Barber on Hall was all Felix needed to walk in. I still like Felix's chances in open space against an unblocked Landry to score.

yeah, just what we need, another gimmick play so when the lateral is dropped and picked up by the defensive player and run back for a score, we can have something else to complain about with the playcalling by the offensive coordinator who appears clueless most of the time....

It's a nice play to use maybe once a game depending on the opponent. As others have said, it's very likely Felix scores if Choice makes the pitch. If Barber blocks Hall, there's only one defender with a shot and Felix had the angle on him.

All I can do it laugh at the thought process to come up with this absurd idea.

Especially "at least 5 times a game".

Wow.

Jeeze, he's horrible.

How about the "I" formation FB lead...Sheesh.

I feel like that is a trick play now, we use it so little.

:bang2: This is exactly our problem! And you want more of it?

Football is not sexy! It's not flashy! Line up and punch them in the mouth... We were beating them all game long up the middle against their one defensive lineman formation. Run it down their stinking throats for cryin' out loud! Why does everything have to be sexy or flashy with this team?

We have more than enough horses to line up and say "ok, we may not average a sexy 6+ YPC, but we are still gonna run it right at you..." Because at the end of the day, it makes our entire offense better. It makes Ausitn, Witten, Williams, and Bryant better because now eyes are in the backfield. It makes Romo better because to stop us you have to start cheating into the box with your safeties... And it makes the offensive line better because you can gameplan and run away from your weaknesses (much like we did with all the runs to the left side). This idea that Garrett has apparently bought into too is ridiculous! We don't need to be cute or sexy. We need to beat the opponent down to their breaking point, at which point we can do whatever we want to them!

I think it is a play that you run ever now and then but not a staple of the offense.

Actually I think the OP is onto something. However I could only get behind the triple option if Alex Barron was taking the snap, with Romo and Roy Williams as the two backs because they're the guys on the team with the most speed.

On second thought you probably wouldn't want Barron taking the snap because instead of pitching the ball he would probably put the first defender he saw in a choke hold, full nelson, or something else equally stupid, because that's what he is.
