Landry would have tackled him since the CB kept contain. If the CB cheated down towards Choice, Choice would have pitched it and Jones would have scored if Barber blocks the safety.

Choice blocks the LB in front of him.
Barber blocks the CB in front of him.
Barron is holding his guy.
Landry is back there unblocked.
Assumes Landry would have made the open field tackle.

Felix Jones with one roided out ****** to beat?

I like that option.

I don't know, but I watched taht game again last night on NFL Network, and can't believe we lost that game. My gosh. Talk about dumb penalties at critical times, not even talking about the final play. The Bennett block in the back was very costly. Anyway, watching it again I thought we could have run it down their throats all night with Barber and Jones.

Garrett ran this play for the sole purpose of putting it on tape to give other teams an extra thing to prepare for. We'll see more wrinkles from this in the coming weeks.

That's probably true but I do think that a one on one situation with Landry, for Jones, absolutely favors Jones. I'd like his chances in that situation.

If we can get all 3 of them on the field at the same time, we ought to have 2 of them on the field at the same time a lot more often.

I say scrap the triple option and implement the single wing. Thing is, Garrett would probably have the wing right from the right hashmark and run a sweep to that side.

Even though I love to bash Garrett for refusing to run straight up, I really did like this play

I think it is a play that you run ever now and then but not a staple of the offense.
:signmast:

The potential payoff is worth keeping it printed on the playsheet, but let's list it only in the specific situational section.

Don't forget we have to tuck into a triple lindy.

Nice angle.

From real time it looked like one solid block from Barber on Hall was all Felix needed to walk in. I still like Felix's chances in open space against an unblocked Landry to score.

Maybe - looked like Landry was moving toward Felix already though. Besides, options can become very risky if not run judiciously, and we are still in the early stage of using it, so a little caution made sense. Besides, Choice saw he had room to gain yardage and he did the right thing.
