The NFL season begins tonight, and so does the Patriots' quest for history

As the New England Patriots go about trying to win an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl title, the coach won't talk about it, and the players aren't allowed to. Any mention of a "three-peat" is removed from the team's transcripts.
Hear no evil, say no evil.
"We've done all the celebrating we needed to do last year," Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said in a national conference call this week. "The only thing I care about is this week."
The Patriots' third championship banner will be unveiled tonight at Gillette Stadium before their season opener against the Oakland Raiders. Coach Bill Belichick would like to ignore the ceremony, but the Patriots will be required to be on the field for part of the pregame festivities.
The Patriots might feel differently about these types of pregame ceremonies if a year from now they're celebrating being the first team since the 1965-67 Green Bay Packers to win three NFL titles in a row.
