however it was in total certifications that he is third behind the beatles and elvis.

multiplatinum, platinum and gold record totals he is third alltime.

I personally don't know anyone that has a Garth Brooks album. Most people I know have at least one Beatles or Elvis album if not more. Most also have Led Zepplin, The Eagles, Madonna, Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra. Just none of them have Garth Brooks.
