Its the HGHZoom makes certain people's heads look HUGE!
He said in the interview that a team's success these days depends on having a top 3rd receiver, and that it might take 4 receivers. He also stated that the Cowboys probably needed to get rid of Zeke, and as I noted, much of his success was having Emmitt's top running attack. Both of those statements indicate his focused on the passing attack, as is typical of ex-quarterbacks.I believe I'd like to see you back up this commentary with anything which supports your obvious opinion. Post anything that quotes Troy stating he needs 4 great receivers to win.
I agree on the offensive line aspect of this post. But to suggest he can't think outside of the prototype QB mentality as you suggest seems to imply he ain't that bright.
And I don't believe that for one second.
Yeah, he said so himself awhile back....No other GM would be able to do what Jerry’s done for 28 straight years and not have been fired long ago.
Ried sat Mahomes the first year. I think that was paramount, but I see your point.Brady missed an entire season with an ACL in 2008. Other than that he stayed healthy. So far Mahomes hasn’t had any real serious injuries. You’re giving Andy Reid way too much credit for Mahomes’ success. It’s the other way around, if it wasn’t for Mahomes, Reid wouldn’t have never seen another Super Bowl. QBs make head coaches. All of Andy Reid’s success in Philly was due to Donovan McNabb. Once McNabb began to decline and Michael Vick took over it was downhill for Reid in Philly. He ended up getting fired with Vick as his QB. Any solid HC could win Super Bowls with Mahomes. Many tried to give Belichick most of the credit for Brady success in New England. They said Brady would never win a Super Bowl without him. Lol As soon as Brady left he immediately won a Super Bowl. Belichick on the other hand has struggled without him. He wasn’t anything special as a head coach before Brady arrived and he hasn’t been anything special since Brady left.
He sat Mahomes, but he could’ve started as a rookie and been successful.Ried sat Mahomes the first year. I think that was paramount, but I see your point.
Letting Zeke go does not mean he doesn't understand the purpose and appreciation of a good running back. He is right, this game has morphed into a passing game. I'd still like to see the exact post where he said TOP WR's. I believe it is a leap to suggest Aikman doesn't understand the game.He said in the interview that a team's success these days depends on having a top 3rd receiver, and that it might take 4 receivers. And yes, it is my opinion, how astute of you to notice, did you think this site wasn't about people's opinions?
I appreciate your opinion, thanks for sharing...
There isn't an exact quote, my opinion is based on interpretation of comments made, both in this video, prior comments, the position he played, other quarterbacks who've been gms as well.Letting Zeke go does not mean he doesn't understand the purpose and appreciation of a good running back. He is right, this game has morphed into a passing game. I'd still like to see the exact post where he said TOP WR's. I believe it is a leap to suggest Aikman doesn't understand the game.
Last point. Toughen up. You'd think with 9K om posts you'd get not everyone will take your comments as burning bush.
Why? So fans could hate on him for not doing what the fans want him to do?Can he come back and be the GM???
The only way he can be worse right now is if he goes more than 28 years without winning a SB. I would bet on Aikman.Even if he is worse than Jerry at it?
