Wasn't able to catch Aikman's entire show for the Tuesday thread with Recaps of Players & Coaches.

Below is the entire (summarized) transcript from The Troy Aikman Show on The Ticket in Dallas.

Here is the Tuesday recap if you haven't seen it:
Recap: - Tuesday Victory Shows! McCarthy's PC, Aikman Show, Big Nate's Podcast, Chris Simms, Marcus Spears | Dallas Cowboys Forum - CowboysZone.com
  • Been some fun months watching Jimmy's HOF ceremonies. I could tell Jimmy was emotional at the game.
  • I agree that the entire history and alumni of the team is more united than ever and what made that game so great. When Jerry first bought the team, there was one common thread for 29 years. Jerry appreciated the history of the team, but didn't have the personal history with those players like he does now. Right now, Jerry is the common link for everyone. I wonder what happens when Jerry is gone. Jerry got up and gave a 20 minute speech and did something on every HOF player in attendance, it was really nice. I think everyone does feel included now and that's a tribute to Jerry.
  • I feel like I had a relationship with a lot of those guys too. Mostly because of Roger who introduced me to his teammates. I enjoy seeing the former players as much as I do the ones I played with.
  • Cowboys offense has a lot of ways to beat teams. That is nice in an offensive league and provides confidence. I didn't expect the game to be close against Philly. It wasn't. The fumble forced by Fletcher Cox was about as close it got. Tampa Bay was a good defensive team and Dallas still moved the ball and have done it against everyone. I do think it can be a special year for Dallas. Now I just saw the Rams and there is a lot of football to be played but I do think they can have a great year.
  • If I were a defensive coordinator and an inferior team, best way to get the game close in the 4th quarter with Dallas is minimize the offensive snaps. Shorten the game and control the clock on your side of the ball. Give them less chances to make big plays. Make them commit to run the ball. Can you stop them? Well, you can get them down to 3rd and 4th. You have to slow down the run somewhat. You can't be overcommitted though and let CeeDee Lamb and the rest of them run through your secondary. That's a recipe to be blown out.
  • Quinn's biggest contribution is they are not making the same mental mistakes this year. I don't care about yards. If you're creating takeaways, who cares? It's hard to win games if your defense doesn't create takeaways. And they have some good young players. Talked with Jerry last night. I love everything about Micah Parsons. He is energizing the roster. The way they fly around, I'm not surprised because I know Quinn's style, it's not an overly complicated scheme, but everyone has a specific role to play. And they have a lot of guys banged up so they're only going to get better.
  • A change in scenery 100% helped Sam Darnold. He told me though he wasn't happy when he was first traded. He knew there was a new coach and new offense and felt it would be difficult for him. But he has been re-energized and playing with a lot more confidence. I like Carolina's offensive coordinator and head coach a lot. Rhule will win in the NFL. Very similar team the way we came on in Dallas. Rhule's track record is they don't play well in year one, .500 year two and off and rolling year three. I just heard they lost Jaycee Horn for the season though. That defense is pretty good, good test for the Cowboys. Sam is more decisive, he has good support around him.
  • I think Sean McVay is excited he can call the game as he sees it now and not have to protect anybody. He has a HOF QB now. I was interested to see how Stafford would play in such a high profile game, he didn't play these games in Detroit. He came out shakey, but finished strong. Stafford is a great guy and hasn't changed at all over the years. For him to be playing in Detroit all those years, he only had 4 winning seasons, only made Playoffs one time... the question is how will he handle L.A. and the Super Bowl expectations, and he has lived up to all of it. As someone who has known him for a long time, but haven't been able to call many of his games, it's great. I feel this will be the best year of his career and if he's not top 3 for MVP at end of the year, then the Rams didn't have the season they hoped.
