You need to understand the difference between sarcasm as written versus spoken.

Condescending towards people that don't see sarcasm in one liners from random people is like condescending towards blind people because they cannot play catch. There are no cues.

Your mind works in that similar irreverent, undermining manner and you see it in everything. That doesn't make you right all the time either.

Modern writing curriculum needs to adjust and teach the concept better. You've had this explained and still blithely carry on for example. Makes me think that you feel some sense of accomplishment because you can "see" it.

Speak for yourself. It was obvious to you but sarcasm is denoted by body language and tone in the real world.

And who said I was offended? I am actually amused by your sense of accomplishment over this if you really want to know.
