TRUE thoughts on jerry...

Watching this debacle take place in D.C., I wonder...if he was being honest with himself, what does jerry truly think of himself as a football guy?

In other words, does he truly know he gave up too much for RW? Does he really make the football decisions, or is he just the figure head, does he really think coaching in the NFL in the early 90's required not much effort, does he really not consider himself in the same catagory as Al Davis or Dan Snyder, etc.

Any opinions? I must admit, I have no feel for him as an owner. How much is it is just an act. Hell, it's even been shown that the Howard Stern you hear on the radio is NOTHING like the "true" man. Is jerry the same image vs. reality type of combination?

I'm sure Jerry has doubts on the Williams trade, as everyone does. But, Jerry has to make the trade work, because he doesn't have anybody else to fill the position, and he also needs to get some return on his investment. Jerry isn't stupid, but he's probably too emotionally involved to make rational decisions.

After 20 years in the NFL, whether you are good at it, or bad at it, you are an football guy.

Edit...Oh and it's now up to 12.

Why does it seem that most feel what we have seen from Roy is as good as it gets? This trade was only one year ago. Did the Walker trade look like a train robbery after only one year? NO. Not saying this will turn out anything like that, but why don't we give this some time before we start deciding if this was a good deal or not.

Does it take a football guy to gauge whether a football guy is a football guy?

Or can a fan that thinks he's a football guy decide that a football guy isn't a football guy?

Such is the universe.

because we've de-evolved into an instant gratification society.

You can call Jerry an egomaniac, and he probably is, but he also has infinate courage. I don't think Jerry doubts himself very often. Guys that make it as big as Jerry can't be sitting around doubting themselves all day.

Yes, he believes that he's being honest with himself.

He makes some of them. He's not. He underrated it. No, he doesn't.

Ed Werder wears WAY too many blue suits. I kid you not.

Really? After 20 years? Nothing? Not a thing?

Jones is losing his touch.

To Jones? 0%. To Jones critics? Somewhere between 1% and 100%.

You mean to tell me that Stern doesn't have women, wearing headphones and very little else, talking about absolutely nothing of importance, while sitting in his living room every blasted day? Well, that bubble just popped.

Wow. That's deep. Me? I just think of him as Satan and run with that. Works for me.
