Trust Dak more

If there is any takeaway I have from this game it's that in order for our offense to get rolling we need to trust Dak more. When we started trusting him they stop committing so much to stop that run which allowed Zeke to get going. I don't want to see a first down run all first quarter next week (not really... but pretty much). Most teams have to use the run to set up the pass, we have the exact opposite problem, but we still need to do it. First play next week, deep crossing route to Dez with Cole having an underneath checkdown route (which he will take for 8).

P.S. Ironically this is also the problem my Hawkeyes have been having lately and cost us big last week

Agreed. They need to leave him the **** alone and let him do his thing. He acted more like Dak of last year. It was better. We need more of that.

It's not even that, it's that we need to occassionally let him throw the ball on first down. I think of the 8 first down plays we had in the first half, 2 were passes even with them committing to stop the run.

One of the biggest problems week 1 & 2 was trying to run the offense through the air and not the ground.
