Trust in This Team

Always enjoy reading your posts, Athsma. I wish I could have been there to see the team grow from 89 into a dominant team. Hopefully we might be in a similar situation right now. Maybe last year was our 1990.

Well, it did feel pretty similar to this. Just imagine if Dallas made the playoffs this season, won the first round and then got blown out because they just couldn't get to the passer (that would be Detroit in 1991). Then, got a great pass rusher in the offseason, went 13-3 next year and had to go to the NFC Championship game in San Francisco, beat them, and went on to win the Super Bowl over Denver 52-17 by getting about 75 turnovers... and you would have a pretty good idea about how it felt in '91/'92.

There is always going to be doubt about this team because of the many years of getting our hopes up, and then letting us down at the end of the season. Stephen A Smith always says that this team is an accident waiting to happen. Well I have been a long time follower since 1972 and I haven't been excited about this team, since the early 90's. This team feels different from previous years and is capable of making a long run into the playoffs, if they can stay healthy. Along the way we may have a hiccup or two in a few games, but this team will bounce back and steer itself on the right path again. I am enjoying the ride and the buzz from the media, Internet on all the talk of the Dallas Cowboys. We are still AMERICA'S TEAM without a doubt

I long for those days when the Cowboys were supposed to win. It was basically a given, except for a slip up here and there.

The only drawback? Seeing everyone and their mother wearing those stupid Apex jackets.

I had one. Loved it. Mine was the one JJ wore on the sidelines. Don't hate! Lol

Enjoyed the goosebumps, Asthma...thanks for a great read.

Hey, I can see the ground and pound that put games away for those earlier Cowboys, coming out right now. I can't further wait until DeMarco Murray passes Jim Brown's exploits in a single season...and removes all excuses for not comparing this team's ability to generate on a similar level.

Cowboys can pass with the best of them now, and a line that actually can measure up to the past!!

You are talking to the choir, on the quality of a coaching staff that went well beyond that of Switzer's, now...
