We've beaten the Bucs and Panthers. These two teams have a combined record of 0-6. They're both horrible. We did barely lose to the Giants but that game was indicative of the way the Cowboys have approached big games often in recent years. We play to barely lose. It's only September and the season is a long one. I know the eternal optimists want to see nothing but huge stats and rosy endings but put it all into perspective for a moment. We've done that against two cellar dwelling teams. I'm not trying to rain on any parades. I'm just trying to add a little perspective to our preparation as fans for week four. We still have lots of work to do and the Broncos will be yet another huge test (similar to the Giants game)...

I want a rematch with the Giants yesterday! :D

Yeah we did only beat Bucs and Panthers but we still had to beat them. Yesterday was touch and go.

The TRUE "Identity" of this team still has not shown itself......

 Cowboys perspective... not former Cowboys perspective... Nice try though. Feel free to hop into one of those threads and drill that unnamed player to your heart's delight. Just don't expect me to join you in your quest to keep his legacy alive and well. ;)

I think I only did that once, if I recall I got tired of that crap from YOU and people on the other side of the fence.

I just find it amusing you are playing the role of debbie downer and preaching to keep things in perspective with your past posts.

If that floats your boat, sinks your boat or does nothing to your boat...so be it.

???????

Past posts? I suppose you're referring to my staunch support of said ex Cowboy when he was a Cowboy... I'm 99.9% sure my support for said player ceased when he became an ex Cowboy. Agenda much?

Unlike those of you that like to keep his legacy alive and well, I couldn't give two ****s what he has (or has not) done since he left Dallas.

Terrell Owens was waived March 5th. Are you 99.9% certain that every single one of your posts on and/or after that date were either not favorable of him or speculative of how he would perform in Buffalo?

Nope. I'm not 100% certain... However, I am 100% certain that after the idiotic hooplah died down my level of care about said player died along with it. Now if you, or anyone else, cares to go back and unearth threads please feel free to do so. I'm sure that excites you.

Why should anyone? It is very well known that you continued your pro-Owens posts well after his release from the team.

I'll let you have the last word. Here. Take it. You're going down a typical road. Enjoy the lonely ride.

Indeed that is the case. Hopefully Garrett finds some similarity between this team becoming a hard nosed gritty run oriented team and him becoming more successful at the OC position. I would love for both to happen.

Bleu: when'd you become such a wuss? I remember clearly a time when you had some heart when it came to the Cowboys. Now you spend your time letting us all know exactly how you're preparing yourself for failure.

Consider replacing that shot of the big gun in your avatar with a picture of your tail between your legs, why don't you?

I have clearly digressed but all is not lost. I still have faith. I'm just keeping things in perspective. This is a 9-7 team IMO. If that gets us the playoffs then so be it. This team can play so much better than it's playing right now. I sometimes feel as though we have loads of talent that's just wasting away... getting older without the proper direction/guidance to will them to greater levels of achievement.

Come back to the light, Bleu. :)

I agree that this team looks like it's playing at about a 9-7 level right now. We're still making mistakes and not necessarily playing with a lot of confidence. That said, it's exciting that we're among the best in the NFC right now and aren't anywhere near close to playing our best football. I'd like nothing better than to watch us gut-out a couple of tough victories and gradually build steam going into the second half of the year.
