Trying to predict the score for this game using averages!

usually when the top offense and defense meet, you end up somewhere in the middle. the top offense is tops, because they are good at many things....and the same for defense......

the good offense will win a few battles and good defense will win a few battles and you end up in the middle...so being obvious!!! we probably won't score as much and some TD drives end up in field goals, and we punt a couple of more times..... but the good defense is not going to be dominant neither, so they give up a little more.

we are scoring about 32 points a game. they are giving up about 18. assuming the middle and its about 25.

doing the same for the other side of the ball for each team...
our defense is giving up about 30 a game. they are scoring about 23. the middle is about 27....

but IMHO, our defense sucks. give up a lot of 3rd downs and our defense probably gives up more than 27...

so just using average scoring for each team, looks like a close game. into the 4th quarter and Denver winning a close game.

this is where a good bounce can help you out a bit.
