This kid is actually showing up. At least it's something to be happy about in a defense that is pretty much going down the toilet.

Lawrence and Jaylon are pretty much overpaid garbage. Maybe Hill can be a keeper?

I did like the way that Thomas played at linebacker yesterday. Cant remember the last time I saw our linebackers making punnishing hits.

What’s funny Hill looks sloppy as hell, body wise, but the kid has something. He also plays with an attitude.

And yes Joe Thomas played really well.

There was a point in the game where I was like my gosh Joe Thomas is on a mission right now.

Matt Ryan just always found someone open. Always.

That Julio Jones 4th down conversion was so frustrating.

It's funny how someone can make plays if you actually let them on the field. He never had much of a chance with Marinelli never letting him on the field. Granted, he seemed to be kind of a bum off the field. Hopefully he's matured a bit there as well.

I am just glad we did not have another Taco on our hand.

To me, with DT being one of our biggest holes, this would be a big development.

Maybe with Thomas and the instinctive Lee coming back we can salvage the LBer position at some point this season. Or not.

I don’t get why we couldn’t get to Ryan. It was frustrating.....if we can figure that out we’re going to be ok. I’m ready for Gregory to come back.

Look though CZ post history to see who most often said the criticism of Hill was premature...

Why should people not criticize Hill for looking bad in his first year and getting on the wrong side of the coaching staff?

I heard very few people calling Hill a bust. There is always a few.

And then again, you stick up for EVERYONE. Hell you said the defense played well last week.

The DL needs to get more pressure and the secondary/LBers need to do better in pass coverage. Hill looks better than last season.

Thomas did play well.

Trysten Hill is improving.

Poe took a check.

Demarcus Lawrence can play but he is not worth $21 million per year.

Jaylon Smith give him another week or 2 with Thomas as he got his responsibilities changed again and they can build cohesiveness.

...maybe what Hill needed was someone like Big Mike to instill confidence in him.

You play together for 9 years that's going to happen....

Hill looked pretty good last year when he got a few chances to play. He didn't look any worse than Collins and Woods. I wonder if Marinelli was still here is Hill would be on the team, or inactive again.

I now think our interior dline will be ok. Hill has surprised me lately. I still would like to kick the tires on snacks. We also need a db and safety. and yes, Joe Thomas is clearly our best linebacker. Thats not a knock on Jaylon..its just obvious.
