Tucker/Pettiti Trouble

Uminora (i have no idea to spell it) is manhandling Walter Jones today... Tucker is in for a long day and so is Bledsoe. Tucker and Pettiti simply do not match up against the Giants DE's..... we will have to max protect all day long.... I think we are in BIG trouble. :bang2:

Umenyoria gave Flozell serious problems when we faced the Giants last time too. We have the worst starting tandem of tackles in the NFL right now. Not saying Pettiti hasn't been impressive it's just what it is he's a rookie.

You know, I'm really curious what the purpose of posts like this & the "Petitti sucks" thread serve--other than deliberately to make Pittdawg & Robsaunt to feel bad. I mean, seriously, do you think they're going to call Rob & tell him this crap that's being posted? Frankly, I'm amazed they even bother to still visit here. Hopefully it makes you feel better, because it certainly doesn't seem to serve any other useful or informative purpose.

I think BP understands what his young OT's are up against. I'd expect him to play it close to the vest again. He won't leave the OT's by themselves, and he won't allow Bledsoe any rope to hang us with.

I guess I missed something, but how does the purpose and content of this thread serve to make Petitti's family feel bad? Should we give players that have family visit this forum a free ride? There has been lots of criticisim of other players as well. How do you know that Cundiff's family, Bledsoe's family, etc., etc. DON'T visit this forum???

I agree - there is a very good chance that our offense will not only make few positive plays but could make numerous negative plays against the Giants. They have the best pair of pass rushing DEs this side of Indy. Now would be a good time to have a mobile QB or a running game.

They're both very good players and that doesn't change week in and week out a good player shows up every week and Strahan and Umenyoria are good players...

True, but they lost to Seattle who has better OTs than us. Hasselbeck is good at getting the ball out and is quite mobile. They also have Alexander running the ball to deep the defense honest.

We will not be able to consistently keep Bledsoe clean without doubling both of their DEs and that will limit the number of receivers we get out into patterns.

If we win this game it will be because of a great performance on defense, beating the Giants for some big plays downfield against their suspect secondary and establishing a running game.

It should be a pretty good game.
