Is it me or is Spears looking a tad bit thin? Hes a Dend and he looks like hes the size of a weak side linebacker.

Spears dropped some weight so he could play faster this year, but he's still over 300 pounds. Hardly linebacker size.

he dropped into the 290's, which is about what he was at LSU. I think he's primed for a pretty big yr.

it was one of the dumber things Parcells did, forcing Spears to put on so much weight when he clearly was much more disruptive at the lower weight

Parcell's told Spears he wanted him down to 295 the day he was drafted.

Might want to go back and re-read.

I remember at the beginning of his first training camp, Parcells praised Spears for getting down to 295. Said that was the weight Saban had him playing and thought it was the best weight for him to be effective.
