Before you twist them really really twisty, forgive me for the williams mistake.
Now, the thread said just for fun, so being the schoolmarm you are you got all sniffy.
And the predetermined roster you mentioned was the 2009 or latest as can be determined in the new season.
So don't get all indignant and huffy.
If I were you I would try more fiber in your diet and less vinegar in yer outlook, twisty.

you did not even know the man's name in your own avatar..

I will play they hypothetical game.

I would trade the Barbarian for NOBODY!!!!

Thats right, there is not a single player Miami has that I would trade the Barbarian for straight up. It would take a 1st round pick AND a player of my choosing to even get me interested.

Or 2 first rounders...............either option I would say yes to.

Even if Parcells needed a running back, there's no way he's giving up a lot for Barber.

Back when he had a Friday show with Mort and Keyshawn, Parcells said that physical backs - I though it was obvious he had Barber in mind when he said it - don't usually last very long. He said something like "the tread wears off the tires pretty quick" (on those types of runners).

Expecting Barber to be productive for more than 2 or 3 more seasons is probably unrealistic, unless Jones and Choice get a lot of work during that time. Which sort of defeats the purpose of the mega deal Barber got a year ago.

Wow. I'm really not sure how to take this thread. I guess it was worth it for some of the funny responses that it has but...wow.

This says it all right here.

the only thing i would consider is this, say barber is traded, im not saying i want that to happen, not this year, maybe next year, but im just doing your scenario

i dont want a player on their roster, only one i would consider is jake long and i know parcells wouldnt do that, so this is what i would do;

First, i wouldnt let jerry jones do the talking in trade to parcells, i would let stephen jones or ciwokwski because jerry either gives up to much in trades, or doesnt get enough in trades

remember when curtis martin whom had played for parcells with new england, and jets received a 1st round and 3rd round pick in compensation

i would trade barber in your scenario, and receive from the dolphins say a 1st and a 3rd for 2010, and either a 1st or 2nd in 2010, something along those lines, then i would use those picks to get impact players coupled with our own picks to get 3-4 impact players in 2010 and 2011. Thats what i would do, this team needs impact players, players just like they drafted this year, that play with heart, love of the game and are impact players

just like the cowboys got randy white, tony dorsett, ed jones in trades, this is what this team needs to me, young impact players to kick some rear end on this team and to kick the others teams rear end too when their playing

just like the cowboys got impact players in the 90's aikman, darren woodson, kevin smith, emmitt smith, alvin harper, this team needs impact players that are playmakers, that love the game and want to be the best, you build your team through the draft

just like ware was taken in the 1st round 11th overall; you generally get impact players anywhere in 1st round from 1st overall to about the 17th pick, thats where it generally tails off
