We are closing in on the point where the new season " officially" begins.

I thought it would be a good time to reminisce and think back on the season that is arguably our best and most entertaining season since Super Bowl XXX.

What were your 3 favorite moments?

3: The playoff game: Yes this is probably the worst memory for some of us and I agree...there is no such thing as a moral victory but that game showed me a lot about Dak and Zeke. It wasn't nearly as devastating to me as other playoff losses because those two refused to lose. Of course they came up short but they left the field the last time with a tie game and seconds remaining on the clock....what more could you ask for after the penalities, mistakes and horrid coaching/defense in the first half? These guys were rookies and were not intimidated at all by the state...and they will be better because of it in the future.

2: Zeke's game winning touchdown against the Steelers---the loudest cheer I let out all season. What a game and what a run. Any people who doubted the Zeke pick were silenced.

1: I hate the Philadelphia Eagles way more than any other team. That is probably because I know a lot of their fans and I feel like the media loves to overhype them. The greatest moment of the 2016 season for me would have to be the wide open Jason Witten touchdown to seal the game. Every Eagles fan in the country thought they were going to upset Dallas and prove they had the best rookie QB on a national stage. That was all silenced in epic fashion.

Three plays really stand out for me:

One, Ezekiel Elliott's long run against Cincinnati. Not sure why that sticks out so much to me but it does.

Two, Elliotts long screen touchdown against Pittsburgh. That was just an awesome play.

Three, Elliotts game-winning run against Pittsburgh.

However, Dak's overtime throw against Philly should probably be in my top three as well.

Zeke's game winner was #1 for me, I can't remember any other play that even approaches it in terms of excitement & satisfaction. I thought that game was lost but then Dak drove the team downfield and then Zeke caught them flat footed.
It was awesome. For big Ben to do that tricky non-spike BS and then still lose was extremely satisfying.

Those fans thought they had it. Everybody was already celebrating. Nobody told Zeke though

I also would yell "Yo Elliott!!" Every time that Zeke would have a good run because for a long while I have been watching this guys YouTube videos on workout routines and nutrition, etc.

Now I can't stop saying yo Elliott every time as it does something good, lol.

  • The most heroic was the win at eventual Super Bowl runner-up San Francisco. The comeback win with the QB having a punctured lung and broken ribs. Good luck ever finding a more heroic effort. Maybe Emmitt with his arm dangling way back when.
  • The win vs eventual Super Bowl Champ New Orleans. The one where Ware cliched it with Brees sack. All around team road win.
  • Our last playoff win...in 2014. Team was losing by 2 TDs, but came all the way back on a very stout defense....and won with little time left on a TD pass.
Others:

  • The year before, win or go home at Washington week 15. Game-winning drive and TD with time running out and on the road. QB did it with herniated disc that was operated on the next day. Sick level of toughness. Team win.
  • The win at Seattle in 2014 was stout too. TWill epic catch. Total team win. Even the D was ok.
  • The JJ Watt juke and bomb TD to send us to OT and the win was great.
  • I liked the butt-kicking we gave GB early last year.

I thought this was for just this past season?

You're right!

I read it wrong.
Thought we were looking at best wins since we last won it all.

My bad.

I liked our butt-kicking of GB last year. That one kind of made me convinced we could really have something special going forward.
