Turnovers will decide the Eagles game

Time to dust off the old bromide about turnovers winning or losing games because that will surely dictate Sunday's result. In games where we have at least broken even in the turnover battle, we are 6-1. In games where we lose the turnover battle, we are 3-5, though one win was against the Eagles in Week Two. The others were the season-opener against the hapless Browns and the Week Three clash against the impotent Packers. Tony would do well to treat every snap as if protecting the ball is his one and only mission.

This team has not been able to get turnovers this year for whatever reason. This is especially odd because we have been getting such good pressure on the QB. If we can get hot in this area (the recipe is there), we will get to the big bowl.

That is strange because turnovers usually go hand in hand with pressure defenses. This year Dallas is -7 in turnover ratio. Last year we were +5. That is a big difference. Of course there is a lot of luck involved in turnovers too, but that is part of the game.

We've been forcing fumbles. We just never fall on them, ala Saturday.
