Turpin could make us the 99 Rams

Id make him the third receiver. then take a deep shot once a qtr.
a WR should be able to run a lot of different routes. if that's all we are going to do with him, then it makes it easier to defend. Turpin can help, I think the more WRs we throw into the games then the more the defense has to prepare for and variety of what they can do. turpin should be included but he is nowhere close to being a very good WR. he is just decent.

Has to start evolving now, maybe we have been holding back our screen game for the appropriate time... just being a bit sarcastic.
A solid short screen game is only as good as your OL can take it, same thing we are witnessing with the running game, the OL has not been stable enough to sustain either and they are symbiotic.
But our lineman are better on the move than trying to root people out.

Side note: our inability to manufacture offense via screens of various types has been a severe disappointment to me for years. Other teams do it so much better.

cooks and turpin stretching the def only helps lamb.
it hasn't helped this team much in terms of stretching thing, can't stretch things when you're throwing slants and comebacks all game long, the one deep ball a game is over thrown by 9 yards lol

He could be our Az-Zahir Hakim.

That year as the 3rd WR he had 36 catches for 677 yards and 8 TDs. Averaging nearly 19 yards a catch. As well as being a dynamic returner.
Dang I thought the OP meant he would be Ricky Proehel

We definitely need a run game more than anything else. Run blocking ain't what it should be and Pollard (imo) still doesn't carry the full load very well. (No, I'm not missing Zeke. Don't want to be misunderstood here. I'm glad he's gone.)

We have to relieve Dak of the lone offensive burden. I have been more critical about him over the last couple of years but the fact of the matter is, as part of a completely one dimensional offense he does it very well these days. But we won't get very far with a passing game alone. TP and the o line need to step up. Now. Use the Redsk&#$ game to try something new.

IDK but I wish we bench Gallup. And I hope we can get rid of him after this year.

Here is Michael Gallup's last 5 games stats.
6 recs on 9 targets for 61 yards and 1 TD. YUCK.

Tolbert
4 rec on 5 targets for 77 yards and 0 TD's.

Gallup's numbers are easily replaced.
While I agree with you because if the $, Gallup’s lack of production isn’t all on him. On that ill-fated pass out of bounds, Gallup was wide open on the other side for the 1st down and more. The inside defender had dropped down pre-snap to rush. The DB on Gallup was giving cushion and Gallup ran a quick slant. It was an easy pitch and catch, but Dak never looked.

I hope the Cowboys at least figure out how to counter defenses that are stacking at the LOS and simultaneously applying pressure vs the run and the QB.

You can only be the 1999 Rams if you have an all-time RB like Marshall Faulk, by far the MVP on that offense.

Think they might have to use him in the short passing game as an extension to the run. Team must find ways to help their struggling rushing offense
I think that’s more realistic. Short passes to him and the RB serve as runs. Since we can’t run it still slows down the pass rush. More screens would help. Going down field the majority of targets should be lamb. Force teams to double him then use Ferg and others to take advantage

I was surprised Turp didn't registered a catch in the Detroit Game, did he?

I sure hope they get him more involved in the game plan moving forward.

Other idea... put Rico in the back field and send TP on some short routes, that drop he had over the middle had house call written all over it. If only...

Now we just need Kurt Warner
right because somehow having a top three quarterback in the MVP discussion just not enough is it I mean literally the same thing with less talent on this team Prescott does not have that type of running back that's dual threat he doesn't have the same amount of great wide receivers I mean do you wanna talk about the rest of the team instead of the quarterback that's the problem around here Prescott is good enough put him on any of the 90s and or the 70s Cowboys teams Romo or Prescott could have every bit the same success as Roger and Troy that is a fact they are that good at quarterbacks on teams that doesn't have the coaching or the players that those teams had..... So get a grip thinking that quarterbacks holding us back when it's not have you been around lately this year we've hardly even had a run game our offensive line is being knocked back into the backfield and in most cases with a four man defensive front beating them.... Prescott needs help and in the playoffs our biggest downfall on offense is the line and is the run game there aren't any those 11 penalties on the offensive line in 2021 ridiculous and there was no run game playing behind the chains all game same thing in 2022 against the 49ers this offensive line looks like a high school offensive line and no run game and you're leaving Prescott out on an island and expecting him to do something with one player getting open and not having the time to find him...

They have to try something to help as it just isn't working.
