All I ever see him do is run into traffic with no attempt to go around or cut outside or swerve. No impressed.Oh and fumble. I think we should use him on offense like the Saits use #7. Rotate him at WR Slot Backfield and confuse the D>

Well you do realize that the punt teams in the NFL have guys who can actually punt with hangtime and accuracy....and they have a punt team with a whole goal of not allowing returners to get to the outside? I believe Turpin was a top 5 punt return average in the league. The only legitimate complaint about Turpin is hanging onto the ball.

He makes the other team real nervous also. Don't be surprised with a return for a TD. The Special teams unit will be on point throughout the playoffs and in the Superbowl.
I hate to say but he hasn't done anything close to scoring this year and I don't expect it to change now.

Probably not. They’re definitely not kicking away from him. He’s come reasonably close to breaking it on 2 returns; however, 1 was negated by a penalty. He’s fumbled more than he’s had big punt returns.

And his kick returns are worse except he hasn’t lost any fumbles (he did muff one at the goal line). His average kick off return is 24 yards. Given the lack of game breaking returns and the chance for a lost fumble, they would be better off downing every kick and taking the ball at the 25.

My biggest issue with Special Teams is the stupid penalties that put us in crappy field position. I swear, we must lead the league in ST penalties!!
Nope. We are 24th with only 10 special teams penalties. However, we don't run the ball back on KOs much and Turpin calls for a lot of fair catches. But it does seem like every time we run one back or return a punt there is a holding, block in the back or some other stupid penalty committed. I still think, overall it is better not to return kicks or punts. More bad can happen than good.

Me, too. He has 3 fumbles, 2 lost, with another bobble that wasn’t fumbled, in 29 punt returns. That’s 1 every 7 returns and an average return of 10 yards. Not a positive game changer with those stats. Just the opposite because if the fumbles.
Pro-bowler.

I've been giving this a lot of thought. From now on, your (Delta House) name is...Turmeric.
