Turpin thought he was getting released

Lol, he has been crap the last two games. Before then, he was having an excellent season. I hope he hasn't hit a wall entirely, but it's more than understandable his body needs a break. He doesn't get a ton of touches, so maybe he's got some juice left.

Dude has been close but he’s also run into the back of blockers and not made it to the 20.

Me, I think it's like that thing that happens to minor league home run hitters... if they don't get that first HR in the first few games, they start pressing, and it begins to show. He's got to be so super anxious at this point to have that first home run, and his natural instincts have suffered.

Managers will hit the reset button by letting the kid rest a day or two.

Maybe it's time for that (?), and maybe TY is arriving at just the right time in that way. TY's not the returner he was coming out of college, of course, but then again, that TY's not really a threat to take Turpin's job away from him probably helps, too.

Keep telling everybody he is close and he will break a couple n the playoffs to change the momentum of a game

He has played almost 2 full seasons of football this calendar year. I think he's starting to hit the wall and it's affecting his play.

That kickoff and punt return for TDs against players that most likely on a roster now in pre-season was fools gold.
T.Y.Hilton is a good punt returner if they want to give him a shot.

People forget Turpin hasn’t had an offseason in I believe 2 years. Dude has fielded probably a hundred punts over that time. His muff against Houston was one of his first (none in the XFL, couldn’t get the stats on his Europe team).

He’s not a robot guys, he’s bound to muff one eventually. Better now than in a huge spot.

TY Hilton is 33 yeas old. The only thing he is returning is his meal at Shoney's.

One thing I love about Turpin…. Outside the one fumble (which we all know happens occasionally). He seems pretty sure handed. When he calls fair catch and such. He goes and confidently gets the ball.

He’s playing for the Cowboys. It’ll take more than a muffed punt to lose his job.
